Iain love, I've told you many times that you're a great person. Like Marj, I don't see you as cocky or arrogant, but if you see yourself that way, maybe that's your way of dealing with something in your life that's bothering you, your parents or family for example. Maybe to you acting slightly arrogant helps you to put on a front so people don't see how you really feel about the situation. I may be way off, but I dunno. My dad just sent me a few emails regarding how the way to be happy in your life is not to focus on the bad things, but to focus on and cherish the good things that you have. You may say, "Yeah but I don't have anything good in my life," but if you think about it, you do.

I dunno if this can help at all, more what I think. Chin up love.

Marj: What's wrong with your dad?

JD: Fights always happen between teenagers and their family. Sounds like yours more often than most, but it always happens. I think maybe you need to try to hear what they're telling you rather than get offensive, they may be completely wrong and just total jackasses, but hear them out. Or, this is my boyfriends tactic that works very well...if someone gets all pissed off at him and starts to yell, he just calmly says, "I'll discuss this with you when you're ready to talk about it like adults." And it shuts them up. He always did that to his parents and it helped to make some things not quite as ugly. Try not to let them get you completely down. You'll make it through hun.

Thanks everyone. I guess I just kinda needed to vent. I still feel kinda lousy about the fact that I'm such a slacker, but I'm not going to dwell on this, nor am I going to give up, like I said. I just wish I could convince my parents that I am responsible, and that I'm not an arrogant jerk. I mean, seriously, they just got me a guitar that isn't actually very cheap directly from the manufacturer, so one would think that they think I'm a little bit more mature than I used to be, but nothing's really changed.

 

Mentally ill, he's one big mess in the head. I hope he can see that moving is nicer in the end and that he's not my mom's bitch.

 

Because I disagree with PETA, which is, in my opinion, one of the most hypocritical organizations in the world, my sister's pissed at me. Do I advocate animal abuse? Fuck no. Do I eat meat? Yeah. Is some annoying group of people going to change that? Most definitely not.

Just a note, this was not intended to offend any PETA supporters.

And why are the cookies always brought out right after I ask for a snack and then get told yes? I swear, and this isn't paranoia, they're trying to make me mad.

I need to start going to the gym. I'm not in any sort of shape right now.

 

That puts things into perspective. The other day I almost fell down some stairs at the station but I regained my footing on the same step right after I slipped. Get better soon, anyway.

 

Thank you for the advice, bb. And like, I do tell them that they could at least discuss stuff with me instead of yelling if they're pissed off, but like, if I just raise my voice slightly I get even more yelled at, if I walk away, I get even more yelled at. Stuff have calmed down since yesterday, though, so it's good. It's just sort of sad that I'm just waiting for another fight to break out, and that I know that another one will soon.

I was two fucking metres from Dave motherfuckin' Grohl last night!

For one song at least... My 'friend' passed out, and we had to carry her out of the pit and sit outside with her for 6 songs. Fortunately when we went back into the pit (up the back of course) they lowered a second stage from the roof and played in front of us again.

I feel sorry for the girl who passed out, but I still have the shits cos she wasn't meant to be there. She effectively took one of my best friends tickets, 'cos she's a selfish bitch really.

Oh well, Foo's fucking rocked anyway. Worth it.

I fucking hate when they argue like this. Neither one wants to admit they're wrong, and they're being so pigheaded about it all. And it's over one of the most fucking petty things I've ever heard.
