That's kick ass.
I really like these regular updates from Mike. It's great. I cant wait for this album.
Next LPU album?
Certainly sounds like Chester. If this isn't allowed, mods feel free to edit. Got this news through a Wikipedia edit and tracked it down.
EDIT: Apparently it's legit
Yeah, it's legit so I removed the link. We'll probably just throw a news post up when LPU8 officially launches.
It's Brad Delson's Birthday!
On the local BBC radio station they were reading famous people who have birthdays today while I was on my way home, and the DJ was like "Brad Delson... yeah, just so you know I'm reading this from a list on some American website where they think Brad Delson is famous, whoever that actually is" haha.
The Mag Road To Revolution review.
Pictures of Dave playing a cello in the studio from earlier this year and some more speculation as to how the album may sound.
On Mike talking about the instrumentals - I hope they don't scrap the idea, having alot more instrumentals on an album makes it a hell of alot more intresting & unquie. There aren't many bands (at least mainstream ones) that do instrumentals like LP does.
Here's an idea: Make an instrumental a single?? As far as I know, the most successfull instrumental (single or otherwise) was by the shadows in the 60's. Maybe LP could do it? Just a thought.
do you really think that is a good idea.......just the instrumental as a single?
Chester sang with Camp Freddy tonight. It was a KILLER performance. Chester was unreal (as usual--that's my boy!). He graciously shared the stage with the incredible talent of: Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Slash & Matt Sorum (GnR, Velvet Revolver), Steve Stevenson (Billy Idol), Chris Cheney (The Living End), Billy Morrison (The Cult), Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), and Frankie Perez (Scars On Broadway). The guys basically get together and sing a night full of their favorite cover songs, which included songs like "Whole Lotta Love," "Paradise City," and "Rebel Yell."
EDIT: Video by Mike about ProTools 8.
Lycos has announced the Most Popular Internet Search Terms of 2008, and Linkin Park is on the list of Top 10 Band of 2008 at #5.
Instrumental from Mike
In a promotion for ProTools 8 posted on ms.com you can hear a instrumental track that Mike created!
Hope they relese a full new track of this, sounds really amazing!
I posted just above
Oops, sorry mate, haha.
Well I must admit Ganon's post was clearer
Why arent any of these blog posts being put up on the main page?
I have to say that i'm happy about there being more instrumentals, should be cool.
LP has two tracks featured on the ten disc, 5 decade-spanning Warner Bros. Records retrospective.
Actually, they have just one song on that 10 CD package, and two songs on the USB drive package
