I was going to say don't act like a moderator, that is frowned upon. But me saying that would be hypocritical because I'd also be acting like an MOD.
I believe in spirits/ghosts. I think Spirits are the ones watching over us, almost like angels, perhaps they have unfinished business. Ghosts are more of the haunting type things, they're stuck in one place. after my uncle died, members of my family had encounters w/ his presence so that strengtheded my beliefs.

I like to think theres something after when we die because I don't really just want to die and that to be the end of everything. Being a ghost seems like a pretty good revenge opportunity tho!
Has anyone seen/read Stephen King's "The Langoilers?" It's far-fetched, but if you think about it, that's the only other reasonable reason for ghosts besides religion. I just believe there is more to this world than we can imagine or that has been put in the Bible, which I do not believe.
i think ive seen the movie of that. was it the one with the airplane? god, i actually watched that 2 days before i went on a plane when i was young, scared the hell out of me.
*points to sig* Anyway, I believe in ghosts. I think I've even seen one before. I was working around Halloween last year in this thing called Horror Hall. Keep in mind that there has been ghost stories told about this place. It used to be a school before it caught fire years and years ago and it was said that a teacher, a janitor and 2 kids died there. Now I was working in the "Mummy room" and the kid I was working with was outside waiting for people to come in. I just remember hearing him scream, I run out and he says that there is this outline of a kid in the doorway. I laughed and thought he was bullshitting me until I looked for myself and it was true. I saw a small boy, just standing there until the door opened and then he was gone. Needless to say I didn't go back there again. And I swear on my life that this is true.

That sounds scary! Apparently younger kids are more likely to see ghosts than everyone else!
