I still win. Kat said it has to contain your own personal quote on it. Yours doesn't! [/b][/quote] On the sig, not the avatar And stop lol-ing, i prefer the old bad Bryan, who never laughs

Yeah well I'm the judge so nyah =P Well kids it's officially the 2nd December now, which means this competition is now officially closed - I'll close this topic now and start judging everything when I get home. Any last minute entries can be PM-ed to me NOW. I'll edit this once I get home and after that time I won't be accepting any more entries. Thanks again for the efforts you've all posted - I'll announce the winners....when I can be arsed ;p
Well sorry about the delay everyone, but yeah...I've finally judged all the entries for the contest...ok so I haven't and I'm just doing this as I go along, but give me a break! Anyway...here we go: <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Skyline 007</div> What caught my eye with this one, is the green slap bang in the middle of it - it's a huge change from the blues that I used in the originals - and I quite like it as well. As for the rest of the image however things are little...tatty should I say. The tops of Yoda's and the sillhouete have been cut off, which makes it look as if they were just randomly put anywhere. I like the little glow behind the text - but it's a shame it hasn't been aligned better to give everything a little more shape. Quality of the image is alright...I think overall it's a good effort. Nice one. Score: 6/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Derek</div> Whoa. That's the only thing that I can say to describe this one. The guy even included a border (though it's really faint, but it's still there and I actually think it makes it look better). The green mixes in perfectly with the blue (as with Skyline's) - and those little streaks of red look great as well. I've never seen the LP soldier look so good . There's a superb use of space and the image quality is just amazing. To put it bluntly...this is getting top marks Score: 10/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>mkprk17</div> Hmmmmm, I like the tinting used over the original background and the the way each colour molds into the next - very easy going on the eyes - the robot just looks cool and stands out pretty well - however it goes off the image, maybe a border could have fixed that. Great use of space and colour though - image quality is half decent too. score: 7/10 <div align=center> ** </div> <div align=right>Gigantus</div> Because gigantus did both a sig and avatar, I'm giving a bonus mark - hey that's fair ain't it? . Anyway, the avatar could have had the same filtered "border" that the sig has just to make things match. The text in the avatar is a little fuzzy around the edges but you can see what it actually is. Great use of space in the signiture...image quiality is good. Score: 6/10 + 1 =7/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Keaton</div> Ooooh pretty filters. The fact that all four of the items are actually in there amazes me...but that makes the image a little unclear, but that may be the point (the text says it all - Nice little fuzzy effect going on with that too). I'm not too keen on the fact that I can barely tell what's what, but it does make a very good image. Awesome use of space, no border needed I think for this one...yeah...image quality is superb. Score: 9/10 <div align=center></div><div align=right>Linkin Junior</div> I like the black and white thing going on here - very clean and simple shapes and text - but to be honest I hate the little rippling effects etc, it confuses me a bit. I love the font used in the name and the small squares gradients. Very high image quality - nice work. Score: 8/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Avenger</div> Nice fonts used in this, but it's such a shame that the image quality is bollocks - it would be so much better with better hosting...I tell you what, if you can send me the original one, Avenger, I'll judge that instead. This image looks like it had a lot of potential - from what I can actually see, the colours melded almost perfectly...but I really can see too much...so :wth: Score: 5/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Derek</div> Derek returns. Derek makes another image. Derek makes a tit out of himself. I really did prefer the other image. The text here is bunched up into the corners which I HATE P). Some nice filters used, and some gentle contrast between the greys and the red/orange/white/whateveritisinthemiddle - but I really did prefer the other one, mate >_>' Score: 8/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>See other judging <_></div> <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Skyline 007</div> Yeah I think this is alright. Some nice little filters used to give a slight border - the central part where the black and white becomes colour is very very effective and eyecatching -it's good that it just doesn't become colour, the little streaks of red etc gradually induce the colour, which is nice . Not too happy with the text being squashed in the corner, and the little creature thing in the other corner, but besides that there's a good use of space there. Image quality could be better though. Score: 7/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>LnknPrp</div> My eyes burn o_o but in this image I think it's a good thing - the contrasts are so strong, you see new things almost every time you look at it. The eye in the corner is very very catching. Love that border around the text - not too sure on that tribal thing in the corner though. Awesome image quality. Score: 9/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Aaron</div> DDDDDDDDDD! I love it! The old photo effect, the eye, the quote...they all link in perfectly with each other. I absolutely love that eye - it could be just a normal iris but it ain't and now I'm just going on with myself...Awesome use of spacce...awesome image quality...this...is...just...awesome Score: 10/10 <div align=center> ** </div> <div align=right>Phantom Duck</div> Everything is everywhere and it's confusing me. I'm not oo keen on how one section is one colour and then BAM, it's the next - there's no gradual changes or anything and it sort of hurts the eyes. Image quality is alright. I'm sure you can do better things than this, though mate. Could have stuck to the same font in the avatar as well. Score: 5/10 + 1 = 6/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>Bryan</div> Not bad, mate - shame you didn't make a sig as well =P Score: 4/10 <div align=center></div> <div align=right>LnkPrp</div> I preferred the old one . Again nice contrasting colours that gently ease from one to the next, but it's a little cramped. Nice image quality though Score: 7/10 So yeah, that's the end of it now...so lets take a look at the scores ;p (Higest scores only shown) Skyline: 7 Derek: 10 mkprk17: 7 Gigantus: 7 Keaton: 9 Linkin Junior: 8 LknPrp: 9 Avenger: 5 Aaron: 10 Phantom Duck: 6 Bryan: 4 So congratulations to our three winners: AARON DEREK KEATON and LKNPRP Thanks a lot to everyone that entered - if you have any more ideas for future contests, let me know and I'll see what I can do --Katrina
Like I said, I would have rather had my second entry judged in this contest as it's noticably better then my first, but Kat wanted to use my green one so *shrugs* lol. It got me a spot in the winners' circle so I'm not complaining.
