Pretty cool video. I liked the whole black and white effect and the whole flare thing.

Well it seams that I just had to watch it more to respect it, I like it more now. I just had to give it time. It's not bad and it's not great.

 

I think its pretty cool. One thing I LOVE about it is the fact that its nothing like any LP video! Mike doesn't want to be seen as 'the rapper from LP with a couple of solo hits" he wants to be taken seriously as a rapper and as part of LP....but at the same time, keep them separate. If you don't compare it to LP then you are on the right track I say.

it was a really fun video to do--definitely a different look and feel for me. the song has such a heavy, irresponsible, random style that the video had to follow in suit. we filmed all night; from about 6pm to 7am. we had to stop because the sun was coming up.

thanks to everyone who has been spreading the word about things and supporting...the video will be up on MTV2 and FUSE next week, so keep an eye out for that. it looks much better on a bigger screen.

plus, there might be a chance to vote for it on FUSE's "oven fresh."

When's the last time you guys saw a rap video like that? Not recently, or ever. The video was dope.

Quit crying, let's post on his Fort Minor forums and ask that he wears a suit next time he raps because his music is changing due to the fact that his fitted baseball cap is in accordance with his new facial hair.

Enjoy the video, it's dope. Look at all the amazing imagery. It's black and white, it's dark with little sparklets of light (literally). It's like a light at the end of a long tunnel...the video starts with one lone light in a dark world, and at the end, there are like 5 different lights being dispersed, which shows the positive imagery of the progression in the future of the rap game. There's so much more than this "plain video with Mike and his homies rapping".

thanks for the great reply... and didn't even bash me for my opinions, i want to shake ur hand !

anyways, i agree with what you said about persona, but at same time you all have to agree he's still an artist not just a rapper. He designed the cover of his album (most definitely) and to say that he has to drop that side of him to be a "rapper" is kinda sad. Like someone posted, he was just having fun and adressing how random the song itself was (and making a video to fit that) so that's fine i'm not saying the video itself is "bad" just not what I was expecting from an "art student" type kid who's making music that is better than most rap stuff i've heard in pop-music today.
