Speaking of england, why the hell do they even put lampard in? The guy cant run or kick. I've seen teammates give him countless numbers of good balls and hes never been able to put them in the goal

I agree that he should have been dropped during the world cup, and that he isn't that fast, but at Chelsea he scores week-in week-out and creates most of the other goals, and I think he was top scorer for England in qualifying. So what if he had a bad run, even if it was at the most inopportune time possible he's been due one for the last two or three years.

AHAHA! Today's Times of India article made me laugh.
"I'll split him into two and smash his head" And Christiano Ronaldo, the Portugeese pretty boy...
I heat TOI for just those two words published and distributed amongst 986086759759759 Ronaldo loving girls.

Match today. :bounce: Germany's better, but I'm rooting for Italy.

I just had the most intelligent converstaion about futbol with my six year old cousin.
Infact, in voice exchanges in India, it has so far been my intelligentest, 'cept with my dad, but that's mainly old football talk, he doesnt keep track so much of players and stuff nowdays.
It was heartening. I apparently support all the clubs his dad does, so I told him that his dad was a smart guy. Plus he supports Argentina and Italy (I asked him about the leaked video. He said he loved it, and it was fun because you can fool the ref. So I asked him if he cared about cheating. Apparently, "Ummm...no!" Except the alleged Lehmann thing. He doesnt like Germany. I always knew we were related and he wasn't adopted.). And he likes Crespo. What more could I ask?

@CHRYSALIS (I'm typing Chris from now on, because your name is too long and annoying): HEAR, HEAR

slip-ups that soccer commentators made..LMFAO..

"johnson has revelled in the 'hole' behind dwight yorke..."

"robert lee was able 2 do some running on his groin for the first time."

"i never comment on referees and i'm not going 2 break the habit of a lifetime for that prat."

"that's football, mike, northern ireland have had several chances and haven't scored but england have had no chances and scored twice. and so they have not been able 2 improve their 100% record."

"celtic manager davie hay still has a fresh pair of legs up his sleeve."

"julian dicks is everywhere, it's like they've got eleven dicks on the field."

"and there's ray clemence looking as cool as ever out in the cold."

"we were a little bit outnumbered there, it was two against two."

"both sides have scored a couple of goals, and both sides have conceded a couple of goals."

"i would not say he [david ginola] is the best left-winger in the premiership, but there r none better."

"and i suppose they [spurs] r nearer 2 being out of the fa cup now than any other tine since the first half of this season, when they weren't ever in it anyway."

""mark hughes at his very best: he loves 2 feel people right behind him..."

"merseyside derbies usually last 90 minutes and i'm sure today's won't be any different."

"what makes this game so delightful is that when both teams get the ball they're attacking their opponent's goal."

"i was saying the other day, how often the most vulnerable area for goalies is between their legs..."

Damn, why was Grosso not marked in the penalty box of all places? Well played by Italy, but i'm still bitter about Australia's exit so i'll be cheering against them in the final no matter who goes through.

    @Chris: you're THE Chris. :lol: And it's Meghna. :)
The way France is playing now, the Portugeese will have to buck up more then they already have. And yeah, if the reffing was anything like today(yesterday if you live somewhere near Germany), somebody[/B]'s tactics aren't going to be very effecient.
