Well nobody's really sure whether he really retired or not. He spoke about it only once, and what he said was very ambiguous. I think he'll still play. Honestly, I think he would be an asshole to retire now when he's one of the best defenders in the world, no matter how strange some of his games in the national team are.

Btw, did you see that penalty against Estonia? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him taking the ball. Imagine what Ferguson would do to him if he did that for United

I was at that game. I live in Stoke and me and my mate went.

It was funny because he had just got one of the Stoke players sent off and the whole staduim was giving him grief. The stadium went bonkers when he got sent off.
