I wasn't so confident anymore for the 8th finals with all our injured players but if Wigan can beat Liverpool, we stand a chance lol.

5-0 what a performance. Nasri's goal was amazing and Bendtner scored a hattrick...brilliant night of football.

Lille are the highest scoring team in Ligue 1. I fully expect them to come out and attack with Gervinho leading the line, alongside Frau. Interestingly, although Lille currently sit 5th in Ligue 1, they have the second best record in the second half of games behind Lyon. They also have the second best home record in the league.

Despite currently being in a recent mini-slump and a horrific start to the season (in which they won one of their opening eight games), they have been very impressive since December:

    Their record since December:

They also defeated Bordeaux 2-0 at home earlier in the season. Also, it should be noted that Lille have scored three or more goals in nine Ligue 1 games alone this season.

Their record in the Europa League

They should not be taken lightly.

so what you're saying is, they're probably better than Wigan. oh boy."

Eden Hazard is a real talent. Future Ballon d'or winner if there ever was one.

    Brilliant name aswell.

Beckham is out of the world cup apparently. He broke his leg in the game against Chievo today, I watched it and saw he was in quite a bit of pain.

I do too. The amount of effort he's put in just to get to this World Cup is incredible

The word on the street is that Becks thought he had broken his foot when it first happened in the game, but in facts its his Achilles tendon. He's been in Finland today and has undergone successful surgery to repair the problem.

The estimated recovery time is 3/6 months I think.. lets just hope it isn't a career ending injury, people (including Becks himself) have said it isn't but I've got a feeling it could may well be the case. The only reason he was playing as much as he was recently was to get to the world cup. I know he loves the game but I think he might see it as his time to bow out when he takes into account all the facts. (I hope I'm wrong!)

Who care's about Beckham. I doubt that he could help England in the world cup since his best days are gone for a long time! He should end his career now!
