Mowbray needs to be sacked by Celtic. He's doing an awful job there.

How they convinced Robbie Keane to join I'll never know. I love Celtic but even I can see he's much too good to be playing for them.

John Terry is stripped of the England captancy and quite frankly I wouldn't have it any other way.

I won't either, I just reacted towards the "proud" part.

And yeah it's often cold in Normandie but that's not in the North.

It's sad that most people would rather remember Thierry Henry for what happened in the WC qualifiers than his ability during his career.

Henry is a legend and Arsenal rule. If you want cheating then look no further than Cristiano Ronaldo and the countless injustices he caused during his time at Man Utd.

Oh I'm not proud of c.ronaldo... and sure Henry is a legend, same for Zidane but he ended his career with that stupid mistake...be honest whenever you hear the name Zidane your first thought will be the WC finale...

You have to understand that I'm an "ultra" fan of the irish football team, so I'm probably "overreacting" a little bit, but this nearly broke my heart...they deserved to go to South Africa, they almost won IN FRANCE after they lost at home (stupid)...
Henry is an ambassador of fair play, you always see him in those advertisings and in french tv he's talking all the time about fair play and no racism...and he's a rolemodel for kids (same for Zidane)...

he had this grin when they scored and this was too much...

(and I like the gunners....I just hate chelsea from the bottom of my heart)

    Interesting results so far:

    Boulogne Côte d'Opale 0 - 2 Montpellier Hérault SC
    Grenoble Foot 38 5 - 0 AJ Auxerre
    RC Lens 2 - 1 Le Mans UC 72
OGC Nice 1 - 1 LOSC Lille Métropole
    Paris Saint-Germain 0 - 3 FC Lorient
    FC Sochaux-Montbéliard 1 - 1 AS Nancy Lorraine
Stade Rennais FC 4 - 2 Girondins de Bordeaux

Our two worst games of this season are against Nice but we still managed to get a 1-1 out of those two games.
Besides that, Rennes played a huge game against Bordeaux and Grenoble (last of the league with now 10 pts) humiliated Auxerre (ranked seventh before the game).4

Oh and Paris lost to Lorient at home while Sakozy was attending the game. Go Britanny

I don't think we deserved to lose today. Our defence needs reassessing though...the two goals we gave away were pathetic.

The groups are pretty balanced. I think that only England and Croatia are gonna walk their way through their groups.
My country has good chances of qualifying. Although they can never be underestimated, Italy is not what they were a couple of years ago. And Slovenia did qualify for the World Cup, but I'm sure we're gonna get all 6 points from games against them.

Oh come one man.. Of course you deserved it, they were much better. The second goal was superb, plus you were lucky the ball hit the bar in that free kick and Drogba didn't score a hat-trick.

No way...the only meaningful attacks Chelsea had were the ones that lead up to their goals. We looked more spirited going forward and while our defence was shoddy throughout, their superior defence and keeper were the only difference in the game. Cech had to save brilliantly on two occasions - one from Arshavin and another from a free kick from Fabregas. He was constantly having to come out for crosses and corners...if we actually had a striker on the field we might have actually gotten an end product from some of those balls. The only actions Almunia had to do was pick the ball out of the net twice.

The second goal was just us being fucking sloppy as usual at defending a counter attack, United (who fully deserved to win last week) did it to us and we didn't learn from it. I think this game would have been much more closely contested if we wern't playing Arshavin as a make-shift striker but there wasn't much in it at all. Chelsea took their chances, we didn't. I guess you could say Chelsea deserved it on that merit alone but in my opinion when it comes to the overall balance of the game I think we had much more spirit and determination. The only thing stopping us getting something out of the game was the lack of a match-fit striker.

Either way our title challenge is over so unless we win the champions league (which I highly doubt we'll do) this season is another failure.

What a brilliant night of football. We beat the scousers, the other scousers do us a favor and beat Chelsea, United draw, Spurs lose and Celtic win. Couldn't ask for much more. :D
