well its gonna be Leeds' season this time round or we're going to be nailed down to League One for the next 14 years
http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/news/kind=1/newsid=847068.html We're in the fifth group. Group 5 Seeded /Unseeded LOSC Lille Métropole (FRA) / IF Elfsborg (SWE) - Haladás FC (HUN) SC Braga (POR) / SK Sigma Olomouc (CZE) - Fram Reykjavík (ISL) Odense BK (DEN) / FBK Kaunas (LTU) - FK Sevojno (SRB) Aberdeen FC (SCO) / HNK Hajduk Split (CRO) MŠK Žilina (SVK) - FC Dacia Chişinău (MDA) / FK Rabotnicki (MKD) - Crusaders FC (NIR) I think we'll get through ^^
wow so Adebayor really left to join Man City...of all clubs....tsk. I wonder who is going to be the third coming of Kanu
I know losing Adebayor isn't the end of the world for my club but I'm getting fed up of our transfer policy. We brought in Arshavin against all odds last January and he's proven the point I've been making for ages. But now we've lost Ade and only brought in one player who happens to be a largely unproven defender (yes Vermaelen might have been the captain of Ajax, but the Dutch league is hardly a league of quality). We need to buck up and get down to signing some players. We need a good solid holding midfielder and maybe another defender. This current squad is not good enough to compete for honours.
i can see Arshavin playing upfront this season actually or walcott for that matter, need a targetman though
We won all of our friendly games (five victories, 12 goals and no goals taken) so far even though the opponents were not that strong. Good for the team though.
We'll be playing a Serbian team called FK Sevojno (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FK_Sevojno). Third qualifying round: Sarajevo v Helsingborg Fredrikstad v Lech Poznań NK Rijeka Flag of Croatia v Flag of Ukraine Metalist Kharkiv Roma v Gent Vaslui v Omonia Slavija v Košice IFK Göteborg v Hapoel Tel Aviv PSV Eindhoven v Cherno More Metalurh Donetsk v Interblock Ljubljana Vålerenga v PAOK APOP v Rapid Wien Honka v Karabakh Vaduz v Slovan Liberec St Patrick's Athletic v Krylia Sovetov Randers v Hamburg Tromsø v Slaven Belupo Brøndby v Legia Warsaw Vojvodina v Austria Wien CSKA Sofia v Derry City Steaua Bucureşti v Motherwell MŠK Žilina v Hajduk Split Braga v Elfsborg Aberdeen v Republic Sigma Olomouc Rabotnički v Odense Sevojno v Lille Petrovac v Sturm Graz Fenerbahçe v Budapest Honvéd Bnei Yehuda v Paços de Ferreira Club Brugge v Lahti Athletic Bilbao v Young Boys KR v Basel Galatasaray v Maccabi Netanya Dinamo Tbilisi v Red Star Belgrade Polonia Warsaw v NAC Breda Vėtra v Fulham
I know it was just a preseason friendly but I can't help but laugh at Newcastle losing 6-1 to Leyton Orient.
Looks like Toure's off to City. Why are we allowing these important players to leave when next season is our most important season in recent time?

The latest news is that Paddy Vieira is gonna return to us from his 4 year holiday in Italy. I guess he's our lucky charm seeing as we've won fuck all since he left.
