oh well, i do kinda feel sorry for sweden, but even though am not supportin france 100% anymore, i gutta be happy bout that result i used to be a huge fan of france .. but i kinda lost that passion after the 2006 world cup .. uh man, it was horrible .. besides, Fabien Barthez is no longer in the team, so yeah .. lol
Well the French team that won 1998 and 2000 was indeed awesome but all the new coaches wanted to keep those old players and that's why France shitted themselves this year. And I don't even know why the French federation kept Domenech.
im not really sure whether its the coach or the players (as a team) that are just being fucking twats
well put IMO England where terrible last night. what i dont get is that they play for some of the best clubs in the world and get paid as much as they do but yet they still cant seem to pass and string a decnt move together and Beckham? wtf?? cu'mon - surely there must be someone.. hell.. anyone.. more suited to that position than what he is now. im not saying he's a rubbish player, but i think his time has been and gone now. its time to get someone else in that role. Capello isnt the problem i dont think. i mean 10 out of the 11 that started got their game when McClaren was on the scene. it doesnt matter if you have the greatest coach in the world managing a team, its down to the players a the end of the day. take my club for example, Hartlepool United, we are a league one club with nothing too special about us really. and if Capello took over, i wouldnt expect us to jump right up into the premiership within two years.. thats just ridiculous its no one elses fault but the teams if you ask me.. i got bored of watching the other night and ended up turning it off before the end. the result doesnt bother me at all.. infact i would of rather lost. England could of learnt a lot more than they have done if they had lost [JJ's Enland XI] ---D.James--- --M.Richards--R.Ferdinand--J.Terry--A.cole-- -D.Bentley--M.Carrick--S.Gerrard--J.Cole- ----W.Rooney--D.Ashton----
thats true though, but you must admit when Sven was in charge in 2001 it was pretty exciting and the the football was much improved, now it just seems to be falling and shambling apart. I guess the time of Tony Adams, Gareth Southgate and Paul Ince is now truly over...come to think of it ever since 2002 world cup i havent seen england put any good plays together
JJ you're right that it's not going to change completely overnight. I think dropping one or two of the bigger name players for a friendly or two would go a long way though, that's pretty reasonable considering players like Beckham and James (although with James, as a goalkeeper, its not as much of an issue) aren't getting any younger and one or two players like Lampard haven't done a lot for the last couple of years.
So arsenal have finally bought Silvestre....this is interesting in a way but i wonder where he will be lining up or if he is even fit enough to do so luckily he came at a cut price
Not gonna happen. We'll probably sign Inler who has very little experience playing at the top level. The thing is I'm not expecting us to win anything this season and if anything this will be the season that all the critics have been saying would come and we'll probably finish outside the top 4. We lost Hleb, Flamini and Gilberto who were all key players (even Gilberto because he provided good back-up to Flamini) and so far we've only replaced Hleb with Nasri who is much younger and has much less experience. Unless we sign two midfielders before the transfer deadline is up, which is looking very unlikely, myself and my fellow Arsenal supporters are more than likely gonna be disapointed again this season. I love Wenger but at some point he needs to say fuck it and buy some real proven quality.
Hm, it's promising that Liverpool haven't played great, but have our 6 points in the bag, bodes well as we settle into the season properly.
another thing is that the board is telling him to sell which is pretty considering the way things are going
