Well there was Henry who got tackeled by a fallen player but that wouldn't necessary have been a penalty.
i think we all feel the same way about our own teams, just some more than others at the moment (hintdeanhint)
Indeed. But there's something about seeing Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Pique, aswell as the old timers Giggs and Scholes that excites me greatly. I'm just glad United were handed down to me instead of City.
I actually cannot believe how terrible Villa's defence was against United though. If they had been anywhere near on form United probably wouldn't have won. It was great to see us win for the 11th straight time but I fear for our attack without Van Persie. Eduardo is still adapting to the premiership and Walcott isn't ready to start up front yet (even though in the past two games for us he's completly changed them when he's come on). The next two games against Liverpool and United will be huge for us, the most important thing is we don't lose either of them. Thankfully we have a game in hand against Reading later on which I'd bank on us winning so if we do happen to lose both games we still have a game in hand as backup.
Arsenal just need a draw to be completely honest because as i remember from previous seasons, when Arsenal began losing to big sides, their confidence completely collasped and led to bad runs
Do you know what I just realised? That once we move to the north we can get tickets for Lens anytime we want, for free. His dad is working at the police and needs to do security blahblah, but that's fucking awesome isn't it?
With respect to United as they're an amazing attacking team, I think it was almost as much down to Zat Knight, Rob Styles and our lack of an actual right back. Mellberg always comes inside which means Gardner, who can't defend even though he's more than willing to tackle, has to drop back which is what happened for their first goal. Knight had been solid previously but he had one of those games which made people call him the worst player in the Premiership at various points during his spell at Fulham. Carson's red card seemed fair enough. But the foul that Reo-Coker was sent off for? Put it this way, it would have been legitimate ten or twenty years ago. There was also an instance in the lead up to the second goal where Agbonlahor went down in the area. Moore still can't score, which is the opposite of when he played last season. So yeah, there was that, as well United's ability to not play particularly well, then score a few goals and switch off again.
RIP Mate.... on a scarier sidenote, i think this year has been the year where more footballers have died on other years, there have been so many scares this year...
gone but not forgotten. he was only a younger 20 year old too. an untter shame. that screamer of a goal you see on that video, won goal of the seaon too, soo much potential.. RIP
Yeah, I don't remember seeing him play before but judging by those clips he had talent. I knew that on Football Manager he can develop into a premiership player.
