As long as Wenger doesn't spend money on "the next big thing" and buys some established players, Le Arse will be alright. Spurs are lacking quality in some areas and the quality of their squad players is still piss poor. They won't finish fourth without a quality centre mid, and they lost that in Carrick.
Wenger should seriously look at a more experienced defender and Huntelaar IMO....and Leeds...oh god we bought no one i recognised
Eidur Gudjohnsen would be a good signing for Villa, then with him, Carew, Moore and Gabby competing for the first team with Harewood in backup we'd be more than reasonable up front.
Gudjohnsen istoo similar to Carew IMO and Harewood isnt exactly the sharpest knife in the cupboard....somebody should honestly try to buy more exciting attacking prospects......gaaarggggh...sidenote:Gudjohnsen and Carew upfront might look interesting though they promise to disappoint
Kroenke's bidding 650million for us. Wouldn't that make us the most expensive takeover in football history?
Glazer tookover United for approx £800 million I believe. (Not trying to steal Arsenal's thunder or anything )
Yeah but Carew needs competition. It'd be one of those two with Agbonlahor or Moore, although whichever one that didn't get picked probably wouldn't like it. Harewood isn't a great player but I think he'd be a good one to bring on with a winger if we needed a goal, which means he could either be a waste or invaluable.
Freddie's gone. All I have to say is good luck to him and thanks for everything he's done for Arsenal over the years.
West Ham. Arsene Wenger doesn't want to join the "spending spree" eh. I am of the belief he is an excellent coach and manager, but he needs to realise where the game is heading and he needs to spend to compete. It's what the dippers have been saying for nigh on 17 years.
It's true though. I don't believe for one second that the funds aren't there to be honest. I think Wenger just wants to be someone who goes down in football history as the nurturer of talent rather than purchaser. While that is all well and good, our lack of spending this season is making players and pundits alike quiestion our ambition and that's only gonna unsettle the team further.
Arsenal will do fine, we have some brilliant players and no expectations, dont be surprised to see us come possibly 3rd this year, and build on it from there, having seen Rosicky in preseason so far, hes found his place, hes going to be SUPERB this year, my XI would be Lehmann Sanga Toure Gallas Clichy Walcott Diaby Fabregas Rosicky Van Persie Adebayor an EASILY good enough 11
oh god....if it doesnt get resolved soon, Arsenal could probably end up playing next season with him loaned out somewhere...
