You're joking, right? Taylor couldn't do much worse than Sorensen is. He can't catch crosses or make a good clearance to save his life at the moment.
Did you not see his mistakes he made for us in 2003/04? Jesus...if he was in goal all of that season you can bet your life that we WOULDN'T have gone the entire season unbeaten. It was his damn fault we crashed out of Europe that season too. And in any of the games I saw him play for Villa I havn't seen anything special from him either. Sorry but he's shit. Glad he doesn't play for us anymore. Percides from what I've seen Sorenson is on form right now.
Taylor's only had one game for Villa, against Man City, and he didn't do much wrong. From what I remember of him he's at least as good as Sorensen was against Scunthorpe. That was a typical Sorensen performance - a few good saves but terrible at coming for crosses and making clearances. The only reason Sorensen was praised for his performance against Watford was because, due to Watford playing most of their balls from the halfway line, he had no crosses to deal with, and the defense was on form anyway. Taylor should at least get a chance because he probably couldn't do any worse. Sign Milner, Nugent, and either Matt Murray or Craig Gordon in January, get rid of Sorensen and Hendrie, and we'll have a decent squad.
Sorensen isnt that bad and Hendrie isnt either, Matt Murray in my opinion is overrated. Craig Gordon on the other hand would make a good signing thats woth pursuing...i still cant understand whats wrong with Sorensen anyway, he looks perfectly fine except for the crosses thing which isnt much of a flaw....
Oooh, modest. Sorry to burst your bubble, but supporting Arsenal automatically disqualifies you from that award. ------- But seriously is that really Mourinho??
I think Matt Murray would be quite a good goalkeeper if he didn't have such bad luck with injuries, much like Kirkland. I agree that Gordon would be the better signing of the two, though. As for Hendrie I just think he's a twat and if we sign Milner there wouldn't be much point in keeping a player of his age and underachievement with Gardner, Davis and Petrov as well. Like I've said before, Sorensen is great at making saves, but since the mistake he made against Birmingham two years ago he's made loads that have cost us results. Arsenal and Watford aside he has been poor so far this season. Against West Ham he passed the ball to Harewood who somehow missed, and against Reading he should have at least came for the cross that lead to their goal, I know no one was marking Doyle but that's why he should have came for it. Against Scunthorpe I remember two spills and a repeat of the mistake against West Ham. Before this season I would have put it down to confidence, but he's the only player who's form doesn't seem to have improved or maintained under O'Neill so something must be wrong.
Nice to see Arsenal are back to their winning ways But for fuck sake, why couldn't Man Utd beat Reading? Because they drew with them Chelsea have gone to the top again...fucking hell.
Portsmouth have always been a side that I've admired and to be honest I wouldn't be at all surprised if they get a place in Europe for next season. I'm looking forward to next weeks match between Aston Villa and Chelsea because I wanna see Martin O'Neil finally end Mourinho's home streak. In any case Arsenal will move to 2nd/3rd place if we win our next game and our game in hand.
