The live version sounded a bit "meh" to me, specially Chester's part, but the studio version will be interesting. The effect on Chester's voice it's good and fits the song, and I really love Steve Aoki. I really miss that on Mike's rap nowadays.
Yes, everyone who disagrees with another person's opinion obviously acts and types like an uneducated child. I think the preview is a lot better than the live version snips.
1. It's humour. 2. It's supposed to depict the level of "freaking out" that some have shown here over this particular collaboration and another UNCONFIRMED rumour. The whole point of posting the interview link (now on a news post) was to simply point out that there's no reason to go bonkers and slag Linkin Park for doing a different type of song for a game. Some might be "educated" as you say but still genuinely believe Linkin Park has changed their sound altogether, which is at this point, too early to call.
Mixed feelings. Like feelings in North and South Pole. How I feel about EDm: Hate it. How I feel about this song: Pretty good, very catchy. Nice to listen to if you need something fresh. How I feel about an EDM album: No. If it were a few songs, that'd be okay. But an entire album, I'd be very unhappy. How I feel about Mike's rapping: I like the uptight rapping for live. For the studio version, I like how it's not so uptight. They wanted a dark element, so uptight rapping doesn't work out for that. That's really all I need to share.
Sorry, I just didn't read it that way at all. Anyway, I was jumping to conclusions too, but if people aren't happy with the two songs there's still going to be the new album, LPU13, The STP EP, and the Mall soundtrack. We can all just chill out because all of which have reasobable evidence that they will not sound anything like these two songs.
Jesus fucking Christ Mike this is just like Until It Breaks live, you fucking shout that shit but then on the album it's some lame whisper instead of that, SAME EXACT THING HERE!!!
To the people saying how bad Mike's rapping is, at least it makes sense. "When I was young they told me, they said, make your bed you lie in that bed." For as much fire as this line is getting, you do, in life, lie in the bed that you make, both literally and figuratively. You are what you make out of life. That's some pretty legit shit right there.
The rap isn't bad. Mike just needs to be more intense and loud, like in Wretches and Kings and the old albums
I actually like the rap part in the snippet that we got. Now all we need are the people to start asking if it leaked yet.
Best rapping is on Bleed It Out. However, I really like the cut of this song's jib. The rap sounds fine, a little low in the mix though, and the vocal effects with Chester are pretty cool. And, I love the drum n' base stuff sounds legit. Stereo cranker for sure.
Preview is...okay. Not going to be jumping for joy, not going to be raining hellfire upon the internet about it. It is intriguing, yeah, i'll go with that.
I love the sound of the song, but I really wish more effort was put into the rap lyrics. I don't even wanna diss, but they just are painfully simple.
