I think Brazil, the Netherlands and Argentina should be able to win their next matches. Netherlands will probably have a tricky game though, playing a team who've just came out of knocking out the champions. Uruguay should beat Korea. I think Ghana will probably beat the USA but the USA winning isn't out of the question. Germany and England is a tough call. Germany have been better so far in the tournament, but if England are actually back on form and their performance against Slovenia wasn't just a one-off it won't be clear-cut. Paraguay and Japan is another one that could probably go either way. Same with Spain and Portugal.
It going to be a touch one to call when it comes to Germany vs England and Portugal vs Spain. Sad to know that two of those four awesome teams won't be making it. I hope England beat Germany (avenging for Australia) and then Portugal beat Spain.
I'm kind of torn between saying England were bad anyway, and wondering what could have happened if that goal was given.
Did anyone see the news conference with Fabio Capello today? Talk about a witch-hunt...One guy actually asked Capello "Do you think you're still worth the salary you're being paid"...What a fucking moron, fair enough Capello's tactics were a little dodgey but no one from the England squad turned up (bar David James who was, IMO, Englands best player throughout the competition). Are any of the England players now worth the ridiculous salaries they're paid? I find it funny how no one criticises Wayne Rooney or John Terry even though they were both virtually non-existant during the tournament. The press have simply decided to scapegoat Capello which is, quite frankly, scandalous. Anyhoo, now that England are out I'm supporting Holland (I think everyone else is aswell ).
