Originally Final Masquerade, I changed my mind and went with Keys to the Kingdom. That song just does not get boring for me. The singing by Mike and then the Rap are so good. I really like the solo Brad does too. Just an overall good song.
Keys to the Kingdom is bar far the best song on the album. Followed closely by ALITS, and Rebellion. I'm temepted to post a bullet point list as my review but I'm not sure this the right thread exactly. Should I?
I chose "Too soon to tell". I just received my copy today and listened to the album all the way through for the first time. I was pleased with most of what I heard and hope to like everything even more on the second listen.
MTG is so HT, I love it. Imagine the entire album full of songs like MTG. I would jizz for eternity. I can't really get into KTTK, though I think it's a decent song. It just doesnt stand out to me. Lack of melody, IMO. A Line In The Sand is the 2nd best song on the album. FM/Rebellion is 3rd. The rest is hard to put into order. There are some really good songs on THP. I'll leave it at that.
I'll wait until I listen to the album several more times through - it's a toss up between Keys to the Kingdom, Rebellion, Mark the Graves or A Line in the Sand. Yesterday I was leaning more towards Keys to the Kingdom and A Line in the Sand but today I've woken up and I'm enjoying Mark the Graves and Rebellion more and more.
As for me, my favorite songs are Keys to Kingdom, All for Nothing, Rebellion, MTG, FM. Man I love every songs on that album but these are the top.
Damn, it's either KTTK, Rebellion, MTG or ALITS. All four are near prefect. Felt I should vote for ALITS though it's close.
Toss up between "Keys To The Kingdom" and "Rebellion" for me. Then it's a battle for 3rd place between "All For Nothing" and "Final Masquerade" haha
Mark the Graves, followed by All for Nothing. I didn't like either that much when I first heard then but they're both growers. Proves the depth Linkin Park has
So far, my most favorite song on their new album is "War." Am I the only one who thinks that track sounded like if Motorhead and one of RA's heaviest songs had a baby?
