That's not saying much.
LPMB looks a lot better, though, currently. I'm sure Alex could make a better looking skin because he is very talented but currently the skin is very plain.

I have IPB 2.0.0 PDR1 running on my laptops server... its still full of bugs.

You know what? Just wait

Myself ( http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showuser=105 ) and Todd ( http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showuser=327 ) used to do odd work for Invision so we know what the deal is.

LPA is even hosted by Invision :p

Trust me, no one knows more about forums then us

there's no way to upgrade from IPB 1.x to 2.0 right now.

And even if vBulletin is better (which IMO, it isn't and is useless, bloated crap) then it's still not a feasable idea because of the cost. None of us have money to throw around like that. As long as we don't want support from them, IPB won't cost us a penny to use. And since Alex and I still know IPB like the back of our hands, support isn't really neccesary

VBulletin is very easy to hack. Mike (Silverwolf of UFF) is currently making a hack to make some new battle system or other.

Point is, I'd say IPB is more secure. Either that or Mike's a fecking good hacker.

Alex is very capable of installing mods, but installing mods is useless if we will be upgrading within a couple months (hopefully)

And yes, we are the Alex and Todd from IPS, both who used to be on the IPS staff

Yea...its a waste of time if you're upgrading soon (that why my forums dont have a bunch of mods installed on them)

I like this skin. I've been on a few other forums and was agitated that they didn't look exactly like the ones here on LPA. Probably cause I'm used to it.

You sound like you're a salesman for vBulletin. I'm sorry but we will never, ever, use vBulletin on these forums. Especially since we have a nice pricing deal with Invision at the moment.

    Enough said.
what do you mean pricing deal...invision is free you ######## and if you pay for it your pretty thick

You're warned for flaming. That's not tolerated.

And, no, Invision is not free. Just click the link in the above post.

Edit: I just read this again and started laughing. I actually wonder why you flamed us when we didn't flame you. I thought we were being pretty nice about it all. I can't figure out why you flamed us for absolutely no reason on the face of this planet; I mean, seriously, was it neccesary? And how exactly does paying for it make us "thick"? Is it because we actually support the company that makes the best forum software in the world instead of downloading it and hacking away at it until no one can tell who the original manufacturer of the forum software was? No... no, that can't be it. There has to be something deeper. Wait, no there isn't. vBulletin is buggy and can be hacked quicker than a GeoCities page. In fact, I believe the LPMB was hacked once before they installed patches. We will never use vBulletin as long as this site exists. You asked a simple question as to whether or not we had Fast Reply and you end up flaming us because we pay for our software. And you tell us we're full of ourselves?

Well, you’re right, and I think that’s what Derek meant.

And Invision isn’t totally free. If you want to pay $200, you can remove the copyright.
