Doesn't sound too bad, but I'll leave my final judgement for the complete tracks. Nothing I am hating thus far. I need to find out which preview number is the one that sounds awesome as fuck... Edit: "The Mighty Fall (featuring Big Sean)" is the one I'm talking about, sounds amazing. Hopefully this Big Sean dude doesn't ruin it.
Sweet deal. Standouts for me were definitely The Mighty Fall and Death Valley, those both sounded pretty cool. Rat a Tat sounded like it had potential, and the rest sounded decent from the small previews. Obviously 30 seconds is near impossible to judge a complete song, but it's nice to have an idea now. Still love The Phoenix and Light Em Up, and Young Volcanoes is definitely growing on me.
Hot damn. This sounds good! Not fond of "Just One Yesterday", but the rest is just brilliant. Although i'm a bit weary of "The Mighty Fall". Big Sean is one terrible rapper. He fucked up Cruel Summer, he could easily fuck up this. Something tells me "Rat a Tat" is gonna be my new jam!
THE BAND HAS OFFICIALLY RELEASED THE ENTIRE ALBUM ON SOUNDCLOUD AND YOUTUBE. RIGHT NOW. https://soundcloud.com/falloutboy/sets/save-rock-and-roll http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPa0TZwXH4pJQG1MjDHGX49lhY5jN1LWi
Hahah love how they "leaked" it their selves, really lovin the album till now (starting to become a fan)
I'm pretty sure those wanting a "Sugar, We're Going Down" Part 2 will be mad at this album, considering how undeniably catchy and poppy this album is. I'm loving it so far. I love the direction the band's going. It's very optimistic compared to their old songs.
It's okay, I guess. Problem is that The Phoenix and Light Em Up are the best tracks on it; I don't like it when the first couple songs released are the best ones off the entire album. The Mighty Fall is the only other one that really gets me excited. The rest is alright.
Trust me, as a former FOB fan, I also wish there wasn't hate to go around. Will say though that Patrick sounds as good as, if not better than, he ever did.
Patrick is a hell of a vocalist. I just finished listening, and it was definitely solid. Problem is a lot of the songs sound the same, so the standout tracks had to be REALLY good. My favorites were The Phoenix, Light Em Up, The Mighty Fall, and Death Valley.
The first 2 tracks released remains my favorite, which is a bit disappointing. I dislike track 3 and 4. 7 makes me cringe a little too. Otherwise, it goes from decent to good (Rat A Tat, Young Volcanoes) to very good (The Mighty Fall, Death Valley). Well, in fact this last one could eventually beat the first 2 tracks with some repeat, it's such sick
Yes - "The Mighty Fall (featuring Big Sean)" is kickass. The Big Sean has some hilarious lines. "Fall Out......Boy" "Hell yeah, I'm a dick girl, addicted to you."
I love the out-of-nowhere dubstep in "Death Valley". Just sayin' I don't mind Courtney Love, but I still think she killed Cobain.
Death Valley is an okay song. To be honest, I can see they tried hard to make a good album and i'm not saying it's a 'bad' album musically or lyrically, I just don't like the direction they're going, at all. For example, having songs like Light Em' Up and a song with Big Sean then labelling the album as one that would 'Save Rock And Roll' is just stupid, I don't actually like any of the songs and in my opinion the sound they are going for and everything, it's just not for me. So yeah, I pretty much hate it. Also the lead singer has a great voice on some of these tracks, as said above. And SUPERXERO guy, there's no need to tell me to shut up, it's an opinion, you could say you disagree but blatanly telling me to shut up is just childish, and I can garuntee i'm younger than you.
