Is there any reason why you dislike them?
I hate the fact that they purposely tried to sound like LP with their first single just to get famous.
They are ok for me. What i don't like is that they want to show that they rock but they don't. That's my opinion.maybe i am mistake
I hate the fact that they purposely tried to sound like LP with their first single just to get famous.
I dunno why everyone says Bring Me To Life sounds like LP,it sounds as much like LP as Pavarotti sounds like Slipknot! Well not that extreme but I wouldn't sat Evanescence purposly went out there to try and copy LP because BMTL is the only song on the album that even remotely sounds anything like LP
How about you go and look for the numerous albums that Evanescence released back before they hit it big...
I like Evansese, Amy does have a great voice but as it has been said many times before, they really need some new material.
I hate the fact that they purposely tried to sound like LP with their first single just to get famous.
It wasn't them, it was Wind-Up. Oh, and read this: http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/index....=ST&f=87&t=6492. Evanescence are great. Amy Lee has such a large range and beautiful voice.
Like many people have said, I like Amy Lee's voice. It's refreshing to actually hear a girl who can sing low. She doesn't have that high, whiney voice that a lot of female singers do.
I second that. I've bought 'Fallen', as well as 'Anywhere But Home'. They definitely have different songs in the latter. I know that at least one of the different songs in ABH is a cover ('Thoughtless'), but I don't know whether the other songs are new material, B-Sides, or songs from previous albums. Can someone help me out?
Yes! Let's have the return of the guitarist who thought it was a smart idea to leave Evanescence and work for Avril Lavigne, and Kelly Clarkson!
Great idea!

I love Fallen. I like Anywhere But Home as well but I can see obvious flaws in Amy's live voice. I also can't wait for their new album to come out.
It's not really a flaw, it's just that it's really hard to do what she does in the studio versions, which is go from high to low so quickly and go back and forth like she does. Must take hell out of her throat.

Thoughtless is a cover of a Korn song. And the other songs are from previous albums.
Missing, Farther Away, and Breathe No More were all b-sides from Fallen, and made no appearance on their previous albums (and if anyone has listened to the 2002 demos, they were in there as well).
