Well I don't mind when it's the ENTIRE band on the cover, and that's usually held for S/T debuts than anything else actually.
It's an ok song, it's by no means bad,but it just has abit of a filler feeling about it. Though the promise shows,so hopefully the rest of the album will show that talent.
I'm ordering tickets for the Philly show on the 19th. Yes the first single is slightly cheesy but Lacrymosa (song in that YouTube clip) is amazing.
I just saw the vid for CMWYS, and it sounds like the Dixie Chicks meets Christina Aguilera. If the whole cd sounds like this I'm certainly not buying it. On the bright side, Amy Lee's still hot and she's wearing black and red.
Evanescence You'd have to of heard of Evanesence. Fallen is a great albulm but they're new song i think is rather crap bcause they're music is like dark and they've completely changed u know? Who thinks they have changed for the better or should remain the same?
it's just one song. I think it has elements from their "Fallen" album and I love it. It took a couple listens and the video for me to completely like the song. I think the next album will be just as great, if not better than "Fallen"
Evanescence has always been "dark", so they haven't changed in that respect. I personally don't like Evanscence anymore. I guess I'm just sick of Amy Lee's voice. I'm willing to give their new album a listen anyway to see if it'll change my mind about them though. *shrugs*
I like the "new direction" that the new song hinted at. It's not a jaw-dropper of a song, but it suggests that this new album could really be something.
Her vocals in Call Me When You're Sober remind me of some top 40 pop. It sounds like Kelly Clarkson singing to guitars.
Last I saw the Billboard charts, it was #10...and it's already been #1 on TRL. Yeah, I personally can't stand the band anymore. For starters, the new song completely just sucks mulch, and the second being that.....wait a minute, is there a band that plays for her, or is it just Amy in general, because that's all I see of the bitch.
Maybe because she's the only who does anything worthwhile in the band. And if you people are seriously disliking a piece of music because its on MTV, get over yourself. <3 Though to be honest, it's not a very good song, but I definitely think the album has an amazing amount of potential. But when I think that, 98% of the time it turns out like shit.
i like the song but i dont want the whole album to be like that. i think it has potential to be a real good album.
I really don't like the song...and at first I couldn't figure out why. Her vocals are still great, the instrumental still sounds like Evanescence...then it hit me, the song's in a major key instead of a minor one. I haven't taken the time to listen and figure it all out, but I know a lot of their other songs are in a minor key signature, and that's what gives them that "dark" sound. The song just sounds...happy. I know it's not a happy song, but the overall tone of the music and melody comes off as kinda cheesy power ballad-like, with a female singer. I like the video though, the concept is really cool.
I just got through listening to the whole thing and I must say, this album is awesome. It's definitely Evanescence but it's definitely more mature. Amy's voice seems to have developed even more than it was and the whole CD is beautifully crafted. Right now, my favorite tracks are Sweet Sacrifice, Lacrymosa, and Lithium. EDIT: On that note, the CD is a shit load better than "Call Me When You're Sober"
I agree with everything you said except my favorites are "Sweet Sacrifice", "Cloud Nine", "Lacrymosa". Definitely blows away "Fallen" that's for sure, imo.
