did they end up replacing Ben Moody(i think that was who it was) when he left? now this guy is gone.... could this be their last album? or will they replace him as well? :S
Yes, they did. They're now playing with Terry Balsamo (sp?), the guitarist from Cold (who left, sadly).
http://www.evanescenceville.com/Med...eOpenDoorEra/Interviews/Audio/CMWYSTeaser.zip A 20 Second Clip of Call Me When You're Sober from what I believe to be AOL Music, it also reveals that the song will be premiered on August 2nd.
cant wait for their new album. i really loved their first album and i am really excited about this one as well.
First thing I'm going to get tomorrow. Yes! I can't wait to hear. Too bad only 20 seconds, though. I remember when System of a Down released every song on Hypnotize as 20 second ringtone clips, and they just don't tell enough about the song.
just got done listening to "Call Me When You're Sober"..... what an awesome song! this album is going to be so fucking awesome if they can pull off more songs like this. you cannot beat Amy's voice in a female lead rock band.
I just listened to "Call Me When You're Sober" and I thought it started off good, but then as the song progressed, it just started to bore me. Maybe it's because I don't like Evanescence that much anymore? I don't really know. I am hoping the rest of the new album will be better than this song though.
This song is obviously radio-friendly, even though it is close to Amy's heart, its very catchy and very poppy for Evanescence. I'm sure the rest of the CD is better, especially with the clip of Lacrymosa that we've heard on that commercial. With that said, Amy Lee sounds like a heavier Christina Aguilera to me on this song. Does anyone else get this vibe? (It's not a bad thing, they both have amazing voices)
That is exactly the first thing that popped in my mind. I kind of like it. I also think her voice resembles a grittier Fiona Apple as well. I definitely think that clip has more promise than "Call Me When You're Sober", I wasn't real impressed with "Call Me". I sort of like the transitions between piano to full band back and forth, but its not real awe-inspiring.
The song isn't anything amazing. It didn't really impact me within the first few listens. Maybe it will grow on me & the album will have some great songs on it.
Call Me When Your Sober is a really great song, and I cant wait for the new album! "The Open Door" and the new LP album are the only albums im buying this year.
Evanescence - New Single Posted Online I'm sure many of you have heard this already but for those who havn't here it is: Click Here
It's terrible. I dont know what they were trying to accomplish but the beginning is corny/lame and the rest of the song is an unstructured mess.
