I have to say something about this album, honestly i was blown away. Seriously if you intend to buy it do it without thinking twice. It's crazy, i have problems picking songs that i dislike, for real. Incredible word play, lyrical content, beats and hooks throughout the whole record. Em is back, that's official now. By the way Napalm Terror your avatar is awesome.
Yeah Eminem definitely came back with this album. He got sober, cleaned his act up and lit a fire under his ass and the results are astonishing. Like Eminem said at the end of "On Fire", he's back.
This album is golden. So real. Not at blown up as his normal work. I believe every word. In my mind Eminem is one of the greatest artist of all time
I completely agree. Golden is the word. I always respected him, ever since he appeared in the early 2000's. But i was never really into it like i am now. His forever verse left my jaws wide open, that was the turning point. And after that song i started listening his older stuff but this album is something you cannot describe with words. You need to listen to it carefully, follow his lyrics and flow. If you do it right (and you will) you will be blown away. Even some juggalos like this album. He was on drugs, he fought hard, he was close to death, lost his friend and now he came back stronger than ever. More serious than ever. This is the Em i like. Some of his lines are out of this world, such as this one: And itstead of mourning your death, I’d rather celebrate your life Elevate to new height, step on the gas and accelerate, Imma need two mics Crazy.
He spends most of the album trying to prove he still has it and he sounds really clumsy. I am a die hard eminem fan but I give this album 4/10. Half the time his punchlines are there just for the sake of being punchlines. It's better than relapse but far fromanything back when he was at his prime. The song with pink IMO was horrible hejust didn't sound into it. I like his yellng/screaming style rap or whatever you want to call it but just like relapse had too much accent this has too much yelling. He sounds like he is desperatly trying to regain his former glory but just can't seem to reach it. The song with lil Wayne sounds like their verses were for two completely different tracks. It just didn't go together so well to me and it's a damn shame because that beat is amazing. The one with Rihanna sounds like he was attempting to recreate the same vibe B.O.B's airplane had and he just couldn't. The song about proof I felt wasn't seriouse enough and didn't meet the full potential it could have reached. This album dissapointed me in general but it dies have a few good things here and there, I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't just dre on production or the occasional mr. Porter. I'm not expecting the old em back but I did hope for something better than this.
