What makes you think this album is going to be ''cool'' or ''old-school''? Survival will be on this album too, and it's basically his usual pump-up anthem stuff. Yeah, he'll probably go for an old-school feel with the album, but it's stupid to think we're gonna get tracks like Drug Ballad, Criminal and so on. Plus this song sounds more like WTP from Recovery than anything from MMLP to be honest. Oh, and he's #1 on Facebook again.
Because of it's name. It has a reason why it was named Marshall Mathers LP2. It HAS to sound like MMLP.
It's probably a bonus track or whatever. It's still unclear. Yeah, what if I told you the whole time he was making what we call ''Recovery'' he was actually planning it to be ''Relapse 2''? And the difference between Relapse and Recovery... do I even have to point it out? Berzerk sounds nothing like MMLP, and we can be sure that 80% of the album won't.
I just found the Relapse 2/Recovery stuff. But most of the stuff from Relapse 2 is on Refill. But I hope you right and MMLP2 won't sound like MMLP and the lyrics will be better.
90% of Recovery started when he was still with the Relapse 2 idea. He announced it as an album title and everything. And there are like 6-7 tracks on Recovery that were finished for Relapse 2.
If the new album had the same vibe/sound as Berzerk, I think that could be pretty cool. The inspirational ballad rap thing with Eminem has run its course. We get it, he can rap really intensely about struggle. It's time to get away from that some, and this song did it. Berzerk is like Recovery with a harder, 90s hip-hop/rock edge to it. His rapping style is more like his earlier stuff, but the lyrical content isn't the whole ridiculous "I'm going to murder and rape everybody because I am Eminem" schtick. I think it's a pretty good combination.

I do not care for Survival at all. This track, however. I like it. And, most importantly, he doesn't overuse his awful scream raps in this one. 'Bout fucking time.
