A truly brand-new Call of Duty title from the gods themselves, Infinity Ward. The story will be written by Academy Award winning Traffic and NYPD Blue writer Stephen Gaghan. The story will be a Homefront-style resistance story about a group of soldiers, the last of their kind, fighting against an invader that has completely taken over the United States and has crippled the American military and government and has effectively shut down the nation as a whole. The story will revolve around these last group of soldiers, which is something Call of Duty has never really done before. Call of Duty has always been a War-centric story involving Terrorists, armies and guns shit like that, but to take all that away and make Call of Duty a more dramatic, emotionally-driven story about survival, something you would normally see in a British drama, takes some major balls to do. But then again, this is the same studio that made a game about the soldiers of World War II besides a game about glorified heroes (Medal of Honor) and then 4 years later turn that into a modern shooter that defined what first-person shooters would become today. I've honestly never been more excited for a video game since Super Mario Galaxy 2. I'm dead serious. Hope this turns out to be brilliant just like the original Modern Warfare!
