Do you think that Chester is weak on this record?

I think Chester sounds very strong on this album and I love the raw feel it has; however, I don't want another raw sounding album. The reason I like Linkin Park so much is because every album is different. Even Meteora, which I admit isn't very different, has a different enough sound IN MY OPINION to stand quite a bit apart from HT. But back to the original topic, he sounds good.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Meteora may have been similar to Hybrid Theory to the point of sounding exactly the same when looking at the entire discography, but I feel HT had a much more electronic feel, whereas Meteora was really more hip-hop-influenced.

I think HT sounded more... let's say rough and a bit garage-ish, while Meteora sounds very clean and perfected, like you guys already stated. Just compare By Myself and Figure.09, especially the breakdown. They clearly perfected their style while eliminating the rough feeling it had to it. (Hmmm, I just realized how similar those passages actually sound...)

But I think the albums sound indeed fairly different, all in all. You can easily tell which song belongs to which era, e.g. when you are looking at the demos of the two albums.
