I hate that phrase with a passion. If I'm being completely honest, the only people that I've ever heard say that at my school were the students who support Bush. They're basically saying that I mean nothing and that I should just leave the country because I don't agree with what Bush has done, is doing and will do if re-elected. I'm patriotic but not overly patriotic, so I shouldn't have to leave the country just because I don't agree with what's going on. That's where "freedom of speech" kicks in. I have the right to voice my opinion on things. I shouldn't have to leave. If that was the case in France, no one would live there because everyone would've left.
Ah, I don't go there. Just live in the area. Know a couple people at Virginia Tech. Studying to be vets.
My friend was saying that about Green Day's song, "American Idiot". I was saying how I liked the song, and then she's like "I don't like it, I mean, if they think the country is so bad why don't they join the army or something and make a difference?" and it's really just artists voicing their opinions. I don't understand the mentalities of people that automatically think everything is wrong if they don't believe it.
Texas and Florida were Confederate states... [/b][/quote] I don't mean that kind of south. I'm just saying that the majority of the US live at the southern portion of the country (not "southern" states with stereotypes about hicks and whatnot), therefore a larger portion of "dipshit patriots" would most liekly be situated there.
