You're basically begging for commerical failure, ala Limpbizkit's "Unquestionable Truth, Part 1", to happen if you do that. I know some bands can get away with it, and I won't ignore the fact that Linkin Park is HUGE, but if they didn't release a single before the album was released, it'd flop. It'd still sell well because it's fucking Linkin Park, but it wouldn't make anywhere near what Warner Bros. would want. Unless, of course, that's what LP wants. And if they did do that, that's a good way to get out of their contract, I think. But they took the legal route instead of releasing below average releases. Atleast they're consistent with their music, for better or for worse. EDIT: Spelling error.
I love Meteora like John and Patsy Ramsey loved their daughter. I hate 'Numb'. I hate that they didn't release 'From The Inside' in the states. I hate the teenies. No one should care what their favorite color is. It's irrelevant to their ability as musicians.
i don't like the fact that they never come to northwest louisiana!!!!! bcuz i have some friends and if they ever come, we are gonna camp out for 5 days lol. yeha we're weird
That's unfair. Chester and Mike write their lyrics partly to help others, not just to satisfy their personal interests. And who says that by the age of 30 (which none of the band have met, by the way), that an adult like Chester isn't still affcted by being sexually molested as a child? That stays with people for an incredibly long time. He expresses it in song to help himself and help others. As for Mike and the lyrics he raps, adults are feel ignored, frustrated, and unhappy just as much as teenagers do. Who said adults can have feelings which they can't express in song? That's an unfair statement you made.
Am I the only person on the face of the earth who actually liked Meteora?
I thought Meteora was great. A lot of the songs were a little bit overprocessed, but classic songs like "Breaking the Habit" and "Numb" keep the record afloat. I don't like how Linkin Park charges a lot of money for every single thing. I am cheap, but they're demanding a little too much. I also don't like the fact that they dont release new material until after 2-3 years.
I personally really liked meteora, but I guess some people just dont get it. Probabaly the fact that they take forever to come out with new music. Edit- a matter of fact, I bet people wouldnt have minded meteora at all if LP released an album soon after it.....but who knows. Meteora had GREAT potential....if they had used a thesaurous and used a more dynamic song structure...I think the album could have been even better than HT, but alas....their was poor judgement in the finalization of the songs. With some of the peoples definition of what made meteora bad.....you could say the same about a certain artists release that recently came out. .......
Because I was 12 years old.
Imagine a 40 year old man still going through teen angst. It's Nine Inch Nails. Which isn't bad, so that argument bites the dust. And LP doesn't really talk about how much their parents suck, really. They're a bit too vague for anything like that. I think the one thing I don't like about LP is that the band is holding all of them back. Mike did the right thing to go solo to show that he can flow with the best of them.
As far as I'm concerned, shifting the focus onto other artists is not the proper way to discuss the dislikes we have of Linkin Park. The fact that another band may have had the same misfortunes with a follow-up doesn't change the validity of our opinions and makes going down that road futile.

They have to be so short. I don't care who it is, I'm not shelling out cash for a 30 minute CD.
So what i have to say that lp didn't came to my place not even once
Couldn't agree with you more, Mario. And I worship you for making this thread.
i dislike the fact that they haven't truly come out with any new material in a long time. NO MORE REMIXES.
I also don't like how the rest of the guys don't post on LP.com They say that we are the greatest fans in the world, but they can't even take time to talk to us.
I liked the Meteora album. I reckon the thing I don't like about is that they havn't come down to Tasmania so I can go and listen to them live, I have to download them instead... Some of their songs I don't really like too.
Linkin Park are also one of the biggest and hardworking popular bands in the world. What would you rather have, them posting on a message board or them coming out with a new album/tour sooner? Oh, and pick up any mainstream rock magazine, go to any of the interviews. I'd bet my house that the band being interviewed mentions about how their fans are the best in the world.
No, I actually thought it was quite good
I really liked Meteora, especially Numb, I thought all the songs were good. I dislike the fact that they never come here...yes, alot of other bands have been here!
Where they don't come? Where do you live?
Dubai - U.A.E You might've never heard of it but alot of bands come, mostly pop though...argh! The only rock bands that came are Motorhead, Within Temptation, The Rasmus, Limp Bizkit cancelled and U2 are coming.
