That is a good question. Technically, emcee shouldn't even be capitilized. It's neither a proper noun, nor a person's name.

Technically, the word we're all using (emcee) is not a word if you define it the way we're defining it. It's a master of ceremonies, not the definition we have given it.

So, we can spell it however we want.

People give it it's own meaning, and Mike Shinoda isn't the author of it. Just because he's good doesn't mean I let him tell me what it means, I define it myself for myself.
