I was wondering if DLC was ever going to pop up on this forum. Amazing live, and their album is great from beginning to end to boot.
Word! Also, read this interview. Some awesome details on what we might expect to hear on their next album. "I think we’re kind of in a cyborg half-human, half-robot stage at the moment. Yeah, I definitely think we could (be going in an electronic direction). We’re leaning toward a bigger, fatter sound, rather than just the guitars." "Most of the next one’s going to be a bit of the after-effect: "how can you combat things like that (not feeling in control of your own life)? How can small people deceive world bankers? The answer will actually be everyone — what everyone does within their individual bubble, how we choose to act, and if that will butterfly effect out."
Did they move to America or something? Or just doing lots of touring there, now that they're on Sumerian? Really didn't like this band at all, but it's good to see a band from Australia doing okay every now and then.
Probably just a lot of touring. I saw them when they were supporting Fair To Midland. I was 1 of 2 people wearing a DLC shirt when they came on, but damn did their merch booth get swamped after their set. Got to hang out with them after the show too, cool bunch of guys. And hells yes for Karnivool. I am so sad I missed them when they were in the states.
The mix on their set in Sydney was terrible. Give it a chance other than hearing them live when you just wanted them to fuck off so you could hear LP
Actually, their 2010 album is fantastic! It's all I've been listening to the last 5 days. Looking forward to their new stuff!
Looks like's we can expect a new single in April! Revealed in this interview, worth checking out if you're interested. Le interview.
Update yo, the new single is titled Wake Up, and has aired on Australian radio station Triple J, so we can hopefully expect it to be live on le interwebs such as YouTube shortly. There is no ETA on official release.
