[thumb]http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/NFE_portrait/2015/04/suicide_squad_leto.jpg[/thumb] I'm not feeling the tattoos, but I LOVE how fucking insane Leto's Joker looks.
I'd like to point something out. Much like Heath Ledger's Joker, you can't even tell that's Jared Leto.
Marilyn Manson + Lil Wayne + Punk/emo rock = This joker. I still don't know how I feel about this look. On one hand I dig how fucking nuts he looks, it's terrifying. But on the other hand, I feel the grills and the head tattoo are a bit too much. It gives a vibe of a very rock and roll Joker, which I'm not a fan of.
I dno, it's an odd interpretation. It's just one image, though. How they write the character and have him behave is where it counts.
I like them all except for the garbage "Damaged" tattoo across his forehead. That's easily the worst part about it. It's like something an attention-seeking fourteen-year-old would tattoo on their chest without their parents' permission.
Looks the same to me. Given the fact that the new Batman in the DCCU is grizzled and old, it's safe to assume he's encountered this Joker before and maybe he knocked a few of his teeth out. That could explain the teeth situation.
Despite the response to image being lukewarm to negative, I think we can all agree that Jared Leto is an incredible actor and, given the right material, will deliver a great performance. He is the type of actor who gives his all to the roles he plays. edit:
Looks like rubberized material to keep the metal from contacting his face directly. Besides, the regular cowl mouth part is not shaped like that. Well its not like the Joker is supposed to look pretty.
Something I made: That's what I thought, too, but look at the neck / chest. Matches the way the cowl sits over the clothy suit.
If he did the tattoos himself I would like it a lot. But obviously that's not possible with how intricate some of them are. Or like what was said above, if he etched his own skin out and had scars instead of tattoos. This just seems weird. Especially with his shirt off flaunting it.

With the exception of the Damaged face tattoo, I really like this look. You haven't really seen a Joker like this before and from the way Jared Leto's expression is, I think this could be a really awesome portrayal of Joker. The tattoo on the forehead isn't that big of a problem though because its kind of small, I just worry for close-ups of his face and there's just this big word on his head. However, I love Hahahahaha tattoos. Those are a nice touch. Kind of want a picture for the rest of the cast. Really thinking they made a good choice for majority of this cast. Also, does anyone else think that Suicide Squad could be successful as an R-rated movie because it is a movie about super-villains? It doesn't need over the top gore but some excessive gore might find its place in this movie.
I agree, most of DC's casting choices have been awesome so far. But now that I think about it, Jared Leto would've made an awesome Namor if Marvel would've been able to get him first.

That's why it's so dumb. Having somebody give him tattoos makes no sense at all. Just imaging a conversation that makes sense with his character is impossible.
