The trailer would be a bit better if the music didn't sound like it was scoring a Fast and Furious film.
Awful awful trailer. I did really like the intro, though. Seems like they've at least nailed Batman's fighting style. But yeah, extremely unfocused trailer with awful music on top of it.
I actually really liked the trailer. Too bad that subject matter is only going to cover like the first half of the movie and the rest is going to suck.
Just some small news that has been officially announced. BvS runtime confirmed as the 2 hour 31 minutes revealed late last year. Justice League goes into filming on April 11. Edit: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition which is a director's cut is supposedly R-rated for "sequences of violence"
...Am I the only one that's starting to get the feeling that DC has absolutely no faith in Dawn of Justice? The marketing for the movie seems excessively desperate. First there was that second trailer with Doomsday, which I think we can all agree just reeked of desperation. And then, not two weeks after Deadpool breaks records, they announce a Director's Cut... that's conveniently also rated R. The final trailer looks good, but I really hope they're saving the real soundtrack for the film. This whole Marketing campaign for Dawn of Justice has been a complete clusterfuck, and it's making people not want to see the movie.
I don't think that they have no faith in it, they just really need it to be sucessful. If this movie fails, so does their entire cinematic universe. Even so, the marketing could have been SO much better. That Comic-Con trailer from last year should have been the last trailer. That one was pretty much perfect.
Fro what I know, the movie was rated last year so the MPAA which rates movies would have seen this R-rated version way earlier meaning they didn't make an R-rated version as a result of Deadpool. I do believe they chose to announce the R-rated version because of Deadpool and the fact that the MPAA would have released the rating for the blu-ray version eventually so I guess WB just wanted to try to use this fact. Now as for the clusterfuck. I think that the second trailer was definitely WB getting scared but since then I feel that WB has gotten more focused in what they want to do considering that ever since that second trailer we have not seen another scene after the team-up. Comic-con trailer though! They could have reedited that one a bit and added a little bit more and it would still work for me lol
Right. Oh, and I saw this quote going around, it's from the graphic novel Hush: "If Clark wanted to, he could use his superspeed and squish me into the cement. But I know how he thinks. Even more than the Kryptonite, he's got one big weakness. Deep down, Clark is essentially a good person. And deep down... I'm not." -Batman It's a great quote and I hope that's something they explore a tiny bit.
...I really, really hope Trailer 2 was just a fluke, and not any sort of meta-commentary on DC's confidence in this film. Look, people. I need this movie to be amazing.
If it's Watchmen Snyder I'd be having some confidence in the film. If it's Sucker Punch Snyder this film is going to be a disaster.
Got my tickets as soon as they were available. Can't believe it been almost 3 years since it was announced. The wait is death.
