It didn't technically leak. It was streamed on iTunes, silly. On the other hand, THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST MORNING OF MY LIFE.
Really? Well, I wasn't up all night thanks to timezones, but I woke up to the stream, not the leak, so yeah. I'm definitely not hipster enough
I'm listening to the album stream now on iTunes, also the first time listening to anything from Daft Punk that isn't "Discovery". I'm really liking this album.
The super "live" sound is kind of off-putting at first. Especially in the drums. This is not music to be thrown into a random DJ set. And it's pretty much the complete opposite aesthetic of Human After All. I am really digging it. You don't necessarily have to be in a dance music mode to enjoy this. And man those drums sound NICE.
one of the best albums of the year. hardly anything else released this year can touch this, that i've listened to anyway. Motherboard is just fucking insane
I never imagined Daft Punk making a song like Motherboard. That song is crazy in the best way. The live drumming/percussion is nasty. I feel like they could easily make an electronic version of this song, but they went the extra 10 miles on this one. It's so smooth!
Well, they've already produced a number of tracks for Kanye's new album, one which the instrumental of has leaked, and it's electronic as shit. In a Mixmag interview, they've confirmed they're doing remixes of their own songs, and are working on Get Lucky, with a high possibility of RAM getting a remix album, so here's a hugh fingers crossed for an electronic version of Motherbaord. I am in love with this album, it's stuck on repeat. My top tracks are: Touch, Lose Yourself To Dance, Motherboard, Instant Crush, Contact and Doin' It Right. I love all of the songs though. I think Beyond and Fragments Of Time are really underrated, FOT is awesome.
I actually didn't like this album as much as their other albums, but it's a milder more groovy album so it could be that it'll grow on me.
