New song "Almost Easy" has leaked. Does not deserve it's own thread however, because of course it sucks.

    /sigh
    RIP A7X

I really like it. It's different because it was written for transformers but they didn't finish it in time

It lacks substance, I dunno, guess I was spoiled by City of Evil.

Eh, for a first single, I don't think it's too bad. Critical Acclaim is a little better in my opinion, but I think the vocals have improved from City of Evil. There isn't much of that whiney tone that you hear on City of Evil a lot. It's like Matt (M Shadows) finally fell into his comfort zone vocally.

I think the only parts of "Critical Acclaim" I enjoyed were The Rev's singing parts ("Shh, be quiet, you might piss somebody off," "I've had enough, it's time for something real..."). And I don't like "Almost Easy" at ALL.

Vocals are good, but the music seems pretty uninspired, and the solo really doesn't fit.

It's a decent video for a decent song. I'm hoping the rest of the CD is better.

I liked the instrumental...but the voice bothered me every once in a while.

Maybe it's just me...but it sounded like he was trying to sound like Corey from slipknot...well, I'm sure he wasn't trying to...but still...

What happened to M. Shadows' amazing lyrics from Waking the Fallen? :(

And since when did he become great friends with Chester? They look identical.

The Rev is still the best drummer of our time. And by "our time," I meant, since, like, 1990.

And Shadows has got to lose the grill.

QFT. I preferred Matt's screaming to this as well. I honestly don't know if I'm going to even bother downloading.....buying the album.

I can understand their position on leaving the "scene" behind, but to leave his all-too-awesome lyric-writing skills behind is just ridiculous.

I think Waking the Fallen had some of the best lyrics of any album of our time.

Yeah, I just would have appreciated them leaving the scene behind for something that actually sounds decent .

And I agree, in my opinion, Chapter Four is one of the best songs they've ever written.

Definitely. I mean, "I Won't See You Tonight" might have somewhat cheesy lyrics, but it's easily, EASILY, one of the greatest songs written since 2000.
