Don't know what to think about this. Having some major mixed feelings about what has been released so far. Both in the positive and negative aspects..just..confused.

 

Has anyone been able to write down the lyrics?

 

Listened to it constantly in the last 30 minutes. Now Mike's vocals are weird.

But Chester and Rob, wow they killed it.

 

Same. There's part of me that's starting to come around to it and part of me that still isn't convinced.

These lyrics are awesome. Better than anything that came out with their previous records.

 

Not really, that's also what people said for "in this farewell, there's no blood, there's no alibi.." when the lyrics first came out. But they are certainly very solid.

 

agreed these lyrics are sweet

 

I dunno if I'd say those are their absolute best lyrics, but if that's the new standard I'll definitely take it.

 

my hopes are gone i wanted them to sound like hybrid theory but now they sound like a hip hop artist wtf happened to mike. is this genre defining which genre is it- dance rock???

Listening to Breaking the Habit this new music seems to borrow a similar style to it. This is right now isn't great (only a small demo of the catalyst, definatly not my final opinion) but at least they weren't lying about touching on some old linkin park themes in the new album.

P.S. this 2 minute snippet is alot better then MtM. Loving the direction of Linkin Park now, this album seems to be the album that should of followed Meteora.

 

There should be a massive sign on the moon saying "Linkin Park will probably never make another album that sounds just like Hybrid Theory".

 

so... thats parts are NOT snipsets ...

am I right ?
