Were there any other successful mash ups around that time? I don´t think so :-D
This was kind of a rare thing back then. And it also gave LP their second Grammy with "Numb/Encore".
Also this was intended to be a series. Linkin Park did so good with this that MTV never did another one. Even though the collaboration was a success.
way better, you can hear that kind of details which aren't on a CD quality, you hear that the band is sitting in your room and play for you. if you have some vinyls than you gonna laugh on the mp3-cd-radio qualities...
mp3 files have a narrow quality limit, there is no problem with FLAC, vinyl rips have FLAC/wav format too
Aha. Good to know.
That's great to know about the quality of a vinyl..
Collision Course really was great... I love it.
For those interested, I grabbed one on eBay for $40 (the seller had four left after my purchase, and there were a handful of other similar listings). Sadly, my local record store had sold out by the time I got off work and over there.
This is pretty interesting; I was actually unaware this was supposed to be a series. It's nice to see that it was left alone because of its success, rather than cashed in on.
