The more I think about it, the less I like my theory about the parasites. I think that they do inject a venom, but it has a chemical reaction with stomach acid and violently erupts, like vinegar in baking soda. Take the man on the stretched they pulled by. He wasn't completely...well...exploded, only his stomach cavity was damaged. In Marlena's case, I think her stomach burst which caused her body to fling back, giving the impression that she completely shattered.
What an amazing movie. All your theories seem to be realistic to me. The SD card really doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I can't figure that out for the live of me either. EDIT: I started thinking that when Rob, Hud, and Beth were taking off and they watched something get thrown into a building that it was Lily's helicopter that it happened to. I might be wrong though. I couldn't really see the shape of it.
Exactly, the movie is a first-person view of a group of people trying to survive during a catastrophe. People went in misguided.
I missed this post before. I think it would be a bad idea to make another movie which would basically end up being the same movie but with a different cast. It wouldn't make any sense to do something of the sort. As far as I'm concerned, if they decide to make a sequel, they should make the sequel look into the government's response to the attack. I don't think it would be a good idea to go into MGP's background story, because it's unrealistic to do so. They should use the sequel to do the huge, wide, panoramic shots of the monster we didn't get to see in the first film, and maybe people will stop complaining. Either way, making a "sequel" from another perspective would be just as bad as The Lion King 1½.
To make a sequel from another perspective might give them a chance to do the whole Hollywood thing and provide more of a back story on the satellite, the companies involved, etc.
Yes. But what I meant was going into MGP's back story, as if we actually knew what it was to begin with. It wouldn't be realistic (as realistic as something can be when there is a huge monster trudging through downtown Manhattan).
...Is the monster's left leg like...connected to its arm? Or is it just behind it in that drawing? And lulz, it has arms for nipples.
Is anyone else aggravated that they show the monster in the recent TV spot? I think one of the main reasons to see the movie was to see the monster. It gave you a certain satisfaction actually seeing it in the movie.
