Good interview. It's funny how Mike rants for minutes in every interview before Chester can even say something haha. I feel like they think ALTNC is kind of the limit of how poppy/electronic they can get which obviously doesn't mean that they didn't enjoy doing that. Like, they've covered all that territory and pushed it to the limit and now it's time to move in the opposite direction and take the heavy side to their limits. I'm really excited about this album and I hope we get some snippets soon.
Maybe they're on a mobile device that doesn't support embedded playback. Every news post we make should at least have a direct link for people who can't access the embedded version. I usually put it in the source but Kevin just linked to the LP YouTube. Here is the direct link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODS_Mla5UmM
That is one thing that's sticking out to me. The band all seem really excited about the album! More excited then normal it seems! Definitely hype inducing!
This is my favorite interview so far on The Hunting Party. Very glad that the band chose not to further pursue the poppy, indie, EDM route that they seemed to be going for and talked about. Awesome to see Chester talk about how excited he was to go the heavier route. Can't wait for this album.
Based off of what Joe said above, I'm going to apologize for my earlier post Nima. I was under the impression we had the direct link like we always do, which is why I was confused when you couldn't see it. My mistake. Hope the link works correctly for you now .
Its cool to hear them talk about the record but it's hard for me to get my expectations up again after hearing Until It's Gone. I don't wanna keep taking jabs at the song but it's the exact opposite of everything they are talking about in the interview here. That's frustrating. At this point, I'm keeping expectations low and hoping for the best
In my opinion you need to have some variation among the songs on the album. It can't be RAWRRRAWRAWRRRRAWRR from start to end. Some diversity is a welcome thing. I think this is something that Hybrid Theory did very well - you have your ups and down throughout the record and its not just ears-bleeding-loudness all the way through. You want a roller coaster to have its highs and lows in order for it to be enjoyable.
So who thinks we will start getting LPTVs everyday now? Got one yesterday and today! Will the trend continue? Maybe the iTunes countdown is real and we can get a preview of the next song to come! I can be hopeful
