Wow that's insane, the most censorship in the UK ive seen on music channels if for the normal swear words.
That can be easily explained. The reason references to drugs are often bleeped out on TV, is because of the fact the stations dont want to have their younger audience misinterpret the truth behind drugs, and thier consequences. Songs about drug use can lead younger people to believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with using drugs and smoking pot, thus making the station responsible for the child's actions. Imagine being five years old and hearing references to "drugs" on your TV for the first time. Naturally being too young to understand such a thing was bad, you'd probably end up experimenting with drugs later on in life, simply because you didn't know they were unhealthy. It seems like a severe reality, but its for those exact reasons that TV stations and radio have to censor anything having to do with drug use whatsoever. If you don't believe me, I can tell you that I've seen kids at 10 years of age smoking cigarettes that they received from a friend, who probably stole them from thier father after seeing someone smoking cigarettes on TV or witnessing thier father do it firsthand. Stations have to be careful, you wont believe how many idiotic lawsuits happen every year because of parents not being responsible over what thier kids see and hear on the TV and radio. As for b*tch? A b*tch is a female dog. It is the proper term for a female dog of any breed. I dont think it was ever intended to be used as a cussword when it was first generated, but became that anyway. B*tch has been used so much in our society, that I believe the public has finally shrugged off the idea of it being offensive. Remember, b*tch has only became uncensored in the past 2 to 3 years. It wasn't always an uncensored word.
When I first saw the video for "Bottom of a Bottle" by Smile Empty Soul on MTV2...they didnt bleep out the word "drugs" then I read a article on MTV.com about the line "I do it for the drugs!" and the singer said that in his way that line means doing something that you love and enjoy like music, your girlfriend, sh*t like that and now all of a sudden they bleep out drugs! It's stupid Did anyone see when they aired the South Park movie uncensored on Comedy Central, I cant believe they got away with it

Most newer TVs have parental controls, and digital cable/sattelite systems also have it, so you can easily stop your kid from watching it. Older kids have had enough "drugs are bad" lessons in school to know that just because some artist says the word "drugs" it doesnt neccesarily mean it's a good thing.
i can explain the origination of "b*tch" as a derrogatory name for females. "Men are dogs!" - women everywhere If men are dogs, the female equivalent of dog according to your post is b*tch. its fairly correct, though if you are a woman who call men dogs, say mutts. its nowhere near as offensive as b*tch, but will even the odds a bit. i have no explanation for women calling other women b*tches though. thats just stupid.

[/b][/quote] It's like black people calling eachother the N word, even though its thought of as harsh and discriminating, by some. It's unexplained but it kind of just happens. I suppose girls do it for the same reason black people call themselves the N word. It kind of means like "Brotha" or in the 'b*tches' case "Sista." You get what I mean? Ehh I'm too tired.
