Dušan is actually right! coz i also remember that thing happening to me, i mean yes official LP albums i buy them legally but other songs, demos, un-official things, i used to download them from free sites. and as Dusan said, that thing made me buy and love lp stuff even more.

So basically you think that piracy has actually helped you get into Linkin Park?
    Isn't that a bad thing?

Most artists don't get paid as well as you think. Linkin Park weren't even really "rich" until about Meteora. Despite Hybrid Theory selling like hotcakes, the label got the most of that money. The only way bands usually get their dollars is through touring and merchandise, and that's why LP toured so much the first two years they were around (2000-2001) because it was to make money. A lot of people think artists make it big, but in reality unless you sell a certain amount of records you don't really get anything. Record labels are known for stiffing their artists, and its the reason so many lawsuits happen between artist and label to get released from the contract. In fact Linkin Park sued Warner around 2005-2006 because of this very reason. The label was going to get a ton of money with a new merger it was doing, and LP was still not going to get diddly squat. The band sued, Warner negotiated and the band wound up with a contract that gives them 50/50 royalties and a 15 million advance for Minutes To Midnight. So while they may have ZOMGZ money now, it wasn't always that way and people need to realize that. I spoke to someone around 2002 who was close to the band and told me flat out they weren't nearly as wealthy as people thought they were.

So no, you didn't cross the line, nor am I the big boss man . I'm just trying to tell people that sites like LPRussia pose more harm than good. Yes piracy can help in some cases, but in other times it hurts the very artist that makes the music.
