CABLE BY A LONGSHOT. I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss cable. DSL is so unreliable and slow. Here's everything I've experienced in the last two days with DSL: % Disconnected itself during random times of the day for no apparent reason. % 'Hardware failure', meaning it just won't log on until I restart the computer. % When I do finally get to log on, the connection is BEYOND slow, thus making it impossible to get to any website or download anything. % The DSL company over here has been tied down by a virus that makes every connection in the entire city slow for hours and hours. DSL is horrible. Cable is definitely the best way to go in my opinion.
This my edited version , which is 100 percent true. I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss DSL. Cable is so unreliable and slow. Here's everything I've experienced in the last two days with Cable: % Disconnected itself during random times of the day for no apparent reason. (many times before) % 'Hardware failure', meaning it just won't log on until I restart the computer. (very true with cable % When I do finally get to log on, the connection is BEYOND slow, thus making it impossible to get to any website or download anything. (Are you crazy? DSL is so friggin faster.) Cable is horrible. DSL is definitely the best way to go in my opinion. [Actually, DSL is way better than cable. But satellite is better, period.

you've made it clear you don't like cable. now quit posting about it.
Here in Hawaii, DSL seriously sucks. My friend has DSL, and he doesn't have a great connection because he's no where near his service. He gets disconnected from games, and his downloads/uploads are slower than mines. I run on cable. Although one little problem, and the people down here shut down the cable once and awhile, I can download/upload stuff way faster than the people on DSL (here). Everybody I've talked to told me DSL sucks so I went with cable. (Yeah, and I don't need people who like DSL to be bothering me about this--I live in Hawaii and you don't. Don't compare me with your situations because Hawaii has more flaws in almost all their systems than the mainland or outside of the island(s) .) Go with cable .
I would recommend cable. Although, if your cable company is Adelphia you might want to go w/DSL. I only got 455.9 Kbps on the bandwith meter. Wow, that's bad isn't it.
DSL, but if ur quite far away from the signal, i would get cable, look into ur nearest station before signing up for either
Wrong. With my DSL, I never have to connect.
It depends on what company you have. My aunt has to connect. And if you make another post in this thread acting like you're right and everyone else is wrong... Trust me, just don't do it.

So I'm not allowed to stand by my opinion?
Oh, okay. I see how it is. My aunt has to connect to use her DSL yet you say that she doesn't have to connect when she can't do anything if she doesn't and it's your OPINION?! You have no idea what you're talking about when you make replies in threads. Seriously man..
Yeah. I got 2414kbps. That's over 2mb/s.
kbps = kilobits per second kBps = kilobytes per second there are 8 bits for 1 byte 2414 kbps = roughly 302 kBps Will, I am jealous of your connection
