Okay guys, what do you think of this new theory...

There are 16 quadrants so 16 codes. Assume that there are only 12 tracks on the album. So maybe the "00000 0000" codes are not spaces but just non-existing tracks?

If my theory is correct, they just mixed up the tracks in a wrong order (that could explain why the "00000 0000" codes are not in puzzle 13,14,15 and 16.
So if my theory is correct, the letters we found are in a wrong order too. We just have to put them in the correct order.

That also means that "living things" is wrong!

 

You may be right, but it Would be odd if they arent related in some way

I bet we're all going to look back on this and think how simple it really was the whole time

 

We know that the video was tagged, among other things, #puzzle, #linkin park, and #new album

Whether it's a part of this puzzle, a hint, a reward, or just a distraction, we have no idea.

 

what if you're are right and there are 12 tracks and the zeros are 4 interludes, and then living things means there are vocals on the 12 tracks, being the interluders without vocals. am I making any sense?

 

If it is an anagram, we'll need to wait for another letter to see what it comes up as. If it follows the pattern to spell out "LIVING THINGS" then the number of possible anagrams is small (considering the only vowel available is I) but if the new letter is something out of the ordinary (like, say, an A or E) then there's a much wider possibility.

 

You know he might be on to something here. I've also been thinking that stl22 was a bit suspicious. He/she could be somebody undercover? It's very unlikely, but we can't completely rule it out just yet...

 

But please... don't jump on me because I'm trying to find connections to the video...

It's ok, there's been a lot of controversy about what LPBR and some other people have posted. Right now we need to focus on confirmed facts and the puzzle at hand.

And your connection to the video isn't totally off base - remember that it was tagged with #puzzle, and Linkin Park obviously meant for us to find it. Now the question is, why and what does it mean for us?

 

Hmm, perhaps these letters are the first letters of the names of songs.

"Living Things" i too fake for me, I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

 

To stress some things:

1. stl22 is not anyone suspicious even though he is only in LPA for a month, he has been on LPL since 2010.
2. The video is NOT Living Things, I'd sooner have Untitled then Living Things, please check Mike's Tweet and DO NOT take anything UNOFFICIAL word for word I.E. Linkin Park BR! LPBR has been known to make mistakes in the past.
3. STOP harping on Living Things and just work with the codes that we have. Even if the word really is it, it will get us nowhere!
4. Keep in mind that we're supposed to have solve it before the word Living Things came into our minds.

 

I honestly think the way "Living Things" was discovered was a bit silly and far-fetched anyway.

 

I just want to get rid of "living things"...

 

"Living Things," "Light + VNNI___,' or any other variation of the letters we have and couple we don't could certainly be worth something in the long run, i.e. when the puzzle is completed, but I still believe there's more to the numbers we already have that should lead to something more significant than a single letter per puzzle. Shinoda mentioned PARTS of the song we could uncover, not a title or single password that would unlock any SINGLE part of something.

Look at the numbers, consider letters as well, but I think we should try focusing on them individually rather than all together. They're useless all together until we have ALL of them.

 

Plus, if stl22 was really close like Mike said, we would not have need of the video for clues anymore. It's the numbers guys, numbers!!

 

Hey guys. New to this place, I do browse but have HAD to join in on this discussion.
Now, i only have a little idea on all of this decoding stuff and all the rest of, just like a lot of other people. Surely, SURELY it must not be so difficult? Would LP really make it THAT difficult? Its fair enough for me to say that because i, myself can't spot anything obvious, but i really think we should start looking around inside the box, before thinking outside of it?

If stl22 was close 50 pages ago, you only have to browse through them to realise we're maybe looking too far into it, and moving a little further away from the whole thing altogether?

 

Look beyond your 50 pages and you will realize a very redundant arguing about Living Things being album title, being essential to something being this being that.

 

They thought this ridiculous "Living Things" thing was actually important? LOL It's the numbers. The letters, underscores and forward slashes that SOMEHOW spell out "Living Things" have nothing to do with what we're trying to solve here.
