Well, I enjoyed it. Despite quite subpar generic lyrics, the vocal performance is pretty damn spot on (imo). My favorite out of the songs from this album, so far. Throne pulling up fairly close.
Wow. I was hoping Happy Song would be the worst song on the album. I was wrong. This is so painfully generic and clichéd I can only hope that it was meant to make fun of songs like this. I really doubt it though. And fucking hell "True friends stab you in the front" is such a shitty line. It's kind of catchy, though. I'll give it that much.
I must be the only person that likes this song? Sounds great to me but it also shows me that they will never do better than Sempiternal or even Suicide Season ever again. But I do think this album will be good.
It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I have a few problems with it. It's still enjoyable, like every song from this album that has come out so far. My favorite song so far is definitely Drown.
That bridge tho. Nailed this
You see, I totally missed "Happy Song"'s potential to be a banger live. I suppose "Pray For Plagues" wasn't performed?
Yeah. Shame. Jordan fills in when Oli's out of breath. I suggest watching the Wembley DVD, it's up on YouTube, I think. - Album previews on Spotify, for those who like that stuff.
It's not like 30STM obnoxious. Before Jordan, Jona filled in for Oli all the time, and before that there was Curtis. It's not easy to pull off those vocals, especially if your voice is that fucked up. And it really does work, surprisingly. He'll sometimes let the crowd sing, but not that often. Usually when there should be gang vocals. Think "we're going nowhere" in Shadow Moses. That type of stuff.

You'll catch Oli doing at least 70% of the vocals, Jordan does 20%, and the crowd does 10% On a side note, here is the preview of their track "Follow You". Absolutely love that chorus. So pop, but catch af. Here is the preview of "Doomed" (Low quality). Plus, a new review on the album. Their final track, "Oh No", has an interesting description, relating it to One Direction and naming it the track to be the ultimate divider in the BMTH fan base. The Catalyst, anyone? http://www.gigwise.com/reviews/1023...-thats-the-spirit-track-by-track-guide-review
Speaking of Bring the Horizon, I found a used copy of Count Your Blessings the other day. Now I own it in physical form. Sadly a used copy was $8 when most artists are $3-$5. BMTH has impact
From the previews released so far, Doomed and What You Need sound pretty good. Follow You seems meh, but I'll just have to see once it releases.
