Breaking The Single

I never wanted it to be a single either and I am really going to hate all those "pop teenies singing it" as well. the only reason they will be singing it is because it will be the next hit and they wont even care about the lyrics or anything like that or even care about linkin park and how they feel I cant keep my mouth shut.

Hey you guys have you ever thought that maybe chester said that BTH was going to be the next single as a joke because he probably knew that someone was going to ask him about the next single and he wanted to be funny or something because didn't he know that Mike did not want that song to be a single. Well that's what I think

 

well when it comes from the mouth of a member of lp, it has to be taken as official news, you could be right, but i doubt hes joking

 

But then again you could be right because it would seem stupid to joke about it. :wth:

But this song's my favorite one from Meteora,though.So I'm looking forward to it.

The more I think about it, the more I think the joke theory is maybe true. I don't know why, but BTH doesn't "sound" like a single...

 

I am happy BTH is a single, but your right we don't know, you make quite a good point there. But, if you do think about it, why wouldn't WB do this?Alot of record companies would practically do the same, all they want is money, money, money, and no more that that. But, i'm not trying to complain what so ever, all i'm trying to do is prove a point here just like everybody else on this bored, and including you. No one here has done much wrong really...maybe they have change their mind, but my thoughts really are based on WB forcing them to do so. BUT...that's just my opinion...

i think what is deeper in the song is about mike maybe (im guessing.) having an alcoholic parent, and they keep promising to stop drinking but they dont stop..... like the song is about an alcoholic saying they will stop their drinking but still do. but thats what i got out of the song, or maybe im paranoid because of my drunken father. and no one ever wants to tell people that they have a drunken parent..... (or maybe its me that is the only person that doesnt wanna tell people?)

i love breaking the habit, and im gonna try my best not to watch the video..... kinda as a solidarity to mike.

the alcoholic thing was what i got out of it, and yes your theory is much better.... actually i completely agree with it. but please dont say what you did about not knowing how i came up with an alcoholic. that kinda hurts. hmmm, forgot what i was gonna say, so i will leave it at that.

This is a very interesting thread. I remember when the news about LP making another single was out and everybody in the thread wanted BTH but then everybody else yelled back and said NO there is noway in hell that LP would make BTH, were 100% sure there will never be a BTH single. Now we know that BTH will be the next single and to my surprise nobody has said HAHA told you so, your all wrong, BTH is the next single. I find that very good that nobody has bashed each other, especially on a forum with alot of teenagers (but I think its a rule to not say I told you so) and another weird thing is almost everybody that wanted BTH as a single and now see it is has like nost expressed there happyness for it, everybody is just concerned about how Mike feels, well you can do that and still be happy for the video. Where are all those 50 guy that wanted BTH as the video ? Iam also glad were not going crazy like when FTI came out

 

just wait till LP do this! it will b the best thing for them! mike wont mind at all that it is being made into a single... as long as ppl can hear wat he wanted to write for so long, he'll feel proud more than anything! (side topic) i wonder wat the video will b like??
