I thought the album was awesome, myself. I thought the first half was stronger than the second half, though, probably because I was paying more attention(I started playing Frogger halfway through the album).

I'm definitely going to keep listening to it. It's going up there on the list for the best of the year, though not on the top of it.

Just listened to that acoustic version. Even though I never heard their original version, I think it's just amazing.

I never listened to anything by Breaking Benjamin but I'm going to now! That's just an amazing sounds.

Hence why I gave my opinion, too. If you didn't want to hear more of it, why'd you respond to me? :)

And I never said it needed to sound LIKE "Saturate." I basically said it needed to be on a level as good as it. I'd like it to have a similar style, but I don't want the same album again. Hard to explain. In my opinion, it is not.

I'm NOT saying it's a bad album. I'm saying it's not much of a step. It's keeping the radio-friendly WANA sound and changing almost nothing.

I agree, I've only heard it once thus far (so it might grow on me as I absorb it more), but when I was listening all I could think was "haven't I heard this before?".

Perhaps it's just because I'm listening to less and less music from this genre.

As I found with WANA, it sounds like one of those albums that aren't long-lasting. You could easily get sick/bored of it as time goes by. But to each his own.

Not to mention, Todd ruined "Diary Of Jane" for me.

Can I say best album of 2006 ? At least a top 3 for me.

Haven't listened to it completely, though but it's awesome so far!

The more I listen to the album, the more confused I am if it's a good album or just a decent album. Everytime I listen to it I seem to change my mind about if I like it or not.

I don't know... I'll take back what I said that it sounds like "We Are Not Alone", because this actually seems like a step backwards from that album, in my opinion. The arrangements are extremely cluttered, and the songs just don't flow as well as anything Breaking Benjamin's ever done before.

I do like some songs, especially "Until The End." Another song I like is the first single, "Diary Of Jane", even though I don't consider that one of their better songs.

I've listened to it about 5 times, 2 in my car... and I just can't like it. I'm a huge Breaking Benjamin fan, have been since the first album, but this is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Actually, you are trying to sound like a prick, hence your first sentence ending with "tough shit." I don't want it to sound like "Saturate", I want it to the quality of that album, which this is not in my opinion. The topic was about giving your opinions on the album -- it didn't say "Only respond with positive things about the album" or anything like that. If you disagree with me, you can at least try to be civilized about it instead of saying "tough shit." But in the end it's differing opinions, so of course we're not going to agree... doesn't mean we can't discuss it like adults, though.

I don't know if you realize this or not but no one said anything to you the first time you stated your opinion. It was only after Nate said the song was awesome and you felt you had to argue your point further. The only reason people are speaking out against you now is because of the fact that you felt like you needed to speak out against Nate's opinion and start a pointless debate.

    Let's recap, shall we?

    I started with this:
Nate responded with this (which I assume was directed at me and not the reply about the acoustic version of "Diary Of Jane"):
    I replied with this:
I'm guessing my earlier assumption was correct, since Nate responded with:
    Me:
If you'll note, I was not trying to "start a pointless debate." Secondly, even if I were trying to start a debate, which I am not, would that not be the entire point of the thread? To discuss the album... you know, the whole part where it said: "what are your thoughts [on the album]?"

I did not feel the need to "speak out against Nate's opinion," as I was merely responding to what was said. And either way, the whole point of the thread is to discuss the album... hence me discussing it ;)

See, that's what happen when you assume. You make an ass of yourself. It was NOT directed towards you. So next time, don't assume.

Then perhaps you should have read what I wrote and just corrected me the first time before I replied. Notice I said "the album's far from awesome", responding to your "it's awesome" comment... now why didn't you just say I had it wrong instead of just responding by saying the album is amazing, and not the song?

Somehow I knew someone was going to be a dick and call me an ass when I mentioned assuming. Set myself up for that one.

Well it really doesn't help that whenever there is a majority that has a certain opinion, you have to come in and argue the opposite to death until everyone thinks your an ass. It's annoying as hell and it tends to ruin threads.

This argument is meaningless, nobody cares. Move on.

*edit* and yes it's ruining the thread.

Well what the fuck is the point of a thread about discussing an album if you can't have differing opinions? That sure makes a ton of sense. I would make another thread called "Opinions on 'Phobia'", but I'm sure it'd get locked sense that's what this thread is.

Guess next time I should just go with the flow and say every album is amazing. Heaven forbid someone have a differing opinion on something.

Whatever, though. Go ahead and discuss how amazing the album is. I just won't reply in the thread again to appease everyone. I'll just keep my opinions to myself.

Sorry, but it seems all you are doing is seeking attention, we've all heard your opinion about 8 times already. We get it.

No, have an opinion, but don't argue with other people on theirs. End it there.

    Jawsome said it best.
