    Okay.....cheesy joke....not trying to poke fun at the situation. I really like this band and am genuinely devastated by this :(

    Eh it may be easy to call Ben a dick, but nobody knows the reason why he's quitting music. It may be personal, or he may just be disenfranchised with the music business as a whole. The industry is an ugly place.

    Well it has been widely known that Ben is in fact a jerk. His ego is way too big and he's a dick to his fans.

    To be honest I was a little like WTF at using the lead singers name in the name of the band when I first heard them. I was like seems a bit egotistical and unfair to the other members, haha. It obviously stuck and grew with me though and I didn't care afterwards.

    Honestly, I loved their music...but reading more about this guy he seems to be a royal douche. Don't strive to become a singer if you don't wanna tour/achieve the fame. There are plenty of struggling artists out there who would give their heart and soul to be in the position he is in (highly respected band, millions of fans, music in soundtracks etc) and if he doesn't wanna be tough and hack it, he can just stick to songwriting, and let someone else have the mic. Someone who will respect the fans and the gift that they gave them.

    I'm sorry but I have no respect for Ben or anybody who does an Axl Rose like Ben just did.

    I wonder how the band RED feels about this, since they seem to tour a LOT with Breaking Benjamin, and have been really close.

    I am severely upset about this entire situation. I don't hate Ben, because well, frankly, I'm an asshole too, lol, but it does suck for the rest of the band mates. Once again, nothing has been officially confirmed FROM ben himself, has it? if so, please link me. I read a comment on another board that gave me a BRoner. PLEASE let the remaining members either 1. Form Lifer again or 2. call up Ryan Gibbs from old Faktion and make a new amazing band, jesus I miss that guy! lol. Only dreams here I guess.

    The Rumors are false guys. the band is not breaking up. Ben just sent out a message stating that He is taking time off of touring to nurse his health problems, but that he is not leaving the band, Thank God...

    And here I was coming in here, ready to write a scathing post about how Breaking Benjamin are nothing but ordinary. Oh well, I guess this is good news for fans of the band.
