At first I was on board with this thread, but after hearing the rock remix and Basement Alchemy's cover, I concluded there's no way to make the song rock, or even good. Basement Alchemy's cover is okay, I guess. Better then the original. But that synth still sounds so damn gimmicky, not to mention the extreme genericness of it, and something else that just gets under my skin. Burn it Down is easily in my top 5 least favorite Linkin Park songs, if not my very least favorite. On the topic of this thread, Victimized would work on THP, but it's quite hard and aggressive so it would wouldn't serve the purpose of a soft song between all the hard songs, like UIG does. I actually think Roads Untraveled would work okay with some of the electronic elements taken out, though I'm biased because I really like that song. Honestly though, I still don't find UIG to be that bad. IMO if any song should be taken out it should be Wastelands for sure, it just sounds like a half-assed attempt at Linkin Park being Linkin Park. If the tracks got switched around a little (bump out Wastelands, move Rebellion to its spot, put Victimized in Rebellion's old spot) I could see Victimized totally working.
