After few more listenings, I can clearly say that there are two parts, first six tracks are perfect, the last six, I will have to work on them, but I'm not sure that I'll listen to them as much Castle of Glass is so cool, it's THE surprise of the album for me, I will buy the album as soon as released, it's a good album, different, but good. Lot of fun listening to it
lol Burn It Down was just for mainstream success and really the album could have done without it. I absolutely love every other track though.
Love them all . But the best one: Powerless; it broke my hearth. I heard the first 5 seconds of it and it was like *???* OMG .
Perfect way to describe the album! I feel the exact same way . I'm trying hard to like 8-12 but just can't do it. Powerless isn't bad but not one of their best slow songs .
See, I'm the opposite. I like LITE and I'll Be Gone is OK, but aside from those, I think IMR, BID, and LGM are probably the worst tracks on the album. They're so cookie cutter rock. They were what I was worried the entirety of LT would be. This honestly wouldn't be my favorite LP album if it wasn't for tracks 6-12
Exactly! By the time I got to I'll Be Gone, I was honestly worried that's all the album was going to be. Then Castle of Glass came on and blew my fucking mind, and it just kept that up until the end.
I think the entire album was great from begining to end. I don't know why theres so much hate for BID. BURN IT DOWN is a great song imo. I admit that it's sort of mainstream but it still has everything it needs to have to be good. Chesters singing is great, mike raps in it, the lyrics besides the chourus are great, and it has a meaning which I can easily relate to, and I think just about eveyone can relate to.
I don't understand what all the hate over Victimized is for. It's a song that lasts under 2 minutes. You can't expect it to be as deep as their other tracks. If they expanded the track anymore, it would be too overwhelming. Sure, it wasn't the "heaviest track to date" but it's still outrageously fucking noisy. I actually think my favourite part from the track though is Mike's opening lines, especially the way he says "time has come for you", it's there when you KNOW shit is about to get real. Either way, it's gonna cause two minutes of devastating, blissful chaos in the live shows.
So far, my favorite is CASTLE OF GLASS Worst.. I'm not sure yet, I don't know how I feel about VICTIMIZED yet, I've only heard it once.
My favorites were: Lost in the Echo, Powerless, Burn It Down, Lies Greed Misery, Roads Untravelled, I'll Be Gone, and Victimized. The rest are alright or just plain bad: In My Remains, Until It Breaks, Skin to Bone, and Castle of Glass.
Best: Castle of Glass, Lost in the Echo, Skin to Bone, Lies Greed Misery Worst: Until it Breaks, Tinfoil
Best: Castle of Glass/Skin to Bone Worst: Tinfoil (it's LP's worst instrumental ever, I can't imagine they couldn't make a better instrumental in a year and a half... Their songs have such awesome instrumentals (LGM, LITE..) why couldn't they make one more like that?)
