Linkin Park are set to take stage as head liners, at the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium, on Thursday June 30th. The event runs from Thursday (30.06.11) to Sunday (03.07.11). Some of the announced acts include, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Portishead, Iron Maiden, Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian. Plus many many more. The band have not performed in Belgium Since March 2001, at Brielpoort in Deinze - so its been a long time coming! It seems as though the event organisers, along with Belgium fans alike, that they will be very much looking forward to the occasion: At last, at last, at last… Google ‘Linkin Park’ and ‘Belgium’ and you will find a long list of pleas to get the band over here. LP and Arctic Monkeys are my favorite bands... I wish I could be there, 'cause that would be a kick-ass festival
Arctic Monkeys are a fantastic band, their older material is brilliant! Kasabian and KOL will put on a good show too I wouldn't mind seeing Magnetic Man and then Underworld too on the Saturday.. that sounds pretty amazing!
Just curious and I wanna ask how do festivals go? Do you buy a one-day entrance ticket and then you could see all the acts on that day?
There's a certain similarity between LP and Monkeys: first album- great, sold the most copies, grey(ish) album cover second album- still good, solid sales, black album cover third album- different (still good), not so great sales, band on the album cover we're waiting for the fourth AM album to see But that's just my crazy theory : )
Fantastic! My dream finally comes true Each year I hope they come to Werchter or Pukkelpop or Sportpaleis, but then I have been always disappointed. Now I've already given up and I was so extremely happy when I heard the news this morning and I bought directly 2 day-tickets. Of course! a one-day ticket Werchter costs 76 f*cking euros.. Combiticket (4 days) costs 195 euros.. But LP is worth it. Here's the line-up but lots of names has to be added (but LP was the last headliner) http://rockwerchter.be/nl/lineup/index.aspx
I don't exactly understand. But there are many sponsoringstands who organise games and stuff at the festivals. But the main thing is of course the music and the environment
