My friend tried to download the whole album off Kazaa and each song kept repeating a part from the song ch-check it out. I think it's better to just buy the album.
Well Kazaa blows. In case you didn't already know
Kazaa doesn't suck as much as people say. If you know the right things to search for, it's actually one of the best P2P programs out there. Beats WinMX anyways.
I agree. It's really not that good. The only songs I really like are "Ch-ch-check It Out" and "Hey F**k You". Paul's Botique and License To Ill rip this CD apart in my opinion.
That's what I use If I like what I hear, though, I go out and buy the CD.
Yeah, you gotta support the artists if they make quality music.
Yeah, you gotta support the artists if they make quality music.
Exactly. I don't know what the RIAA's problem with music downloading is, to be honest. I can understand it to some extent, but I honestly think that the majority of people who download songs will go out and buy the CD if they like the majority of what they've heard. Hell, I know that's how it worked for me. Before I downloaded it'd be a feat to say I bought 3 to 5 albums an entire year... now I seem to buy about 3 to 5 albums a month or somewhere around there. Doesn't sound like a lot, but that's 36 to 60 albums in a year, which is a lot of money. I think if bands would at least start posting 1 minute clips of their songs in MP3 format on their websites (and possibly the entire song, if it's a single) then we wouldn't have this problem, to be honest. Sure, there would still be downloading, but release a 1 minute clip of each song on the album and you're going to get better results than these crappy 30 second things (which are more like 25 with the "fade in" and "fade out" time subtracted) that some artists use. EDIT: Back on topic... Beastie Boys. Wild cats, I tell ya. Wild cats.
